Dummy, you just basically argued against everything you've been saying in this thread. UNC wouldn't get anyone this year who can actually dribble a ball. And no one knew Brown was going to Cal. Enjoy the #145 recruit because the #110 guy is blowing you off Monday. And after Giles and Tatum blow you off next year and your entire team leaves Luke Maye will be your top scorer LOLOL! Ol' Roy + looming sanctions = NIT.

calvindog1 So lets see, my original point was 1)Brandon Ingram would not have a starting sport for the National Champs 2)UNC basketball is not looking to face a ban. So please take my last post, and filter in through those 2 points in order to show how it argued against everything I've been said. It's okay, I'm being facetious, because I know you can't....so you will do what you typically do, go for an unoriginal insult and then talk about the academic scandal. Hmmm, did anybody say someone knew Brown was going to Cal? Logic would tell you that was in reference to people not expecting him to attend UNC. I don't have a team, so guess what, the #110 guy will not be blowing me off. I apologize that my life isn't connected to a team such as yours is. So you have Berry, Pinson, Meeks, and Hicks all leaving next year? Interesting. And since you previously suggested post season ban, wouldn't that mean no NIT? Haha, your brilliance strikes again. Hard to even agree with your own logic ehh?

calvindog1 You lied to me, you said the #110 guy was going to blow UNC off. I trusted your all knowing eye, and now your credibility is shot. 1)You should realize that when someone says they will make a decision by a particular day, it could potentially mean that it will happen anytime before that particular day. 2.)You may proceed with demeaning the pickup because of his rank; you most likely won't acknowledge being wrong, but will just concentrate on where he ranks in the class. To you it will be irrelevant that despite his rank, he is labeled as one of the better 3 point shooters int he class, and addresses a need for UNC. Ahh, you being wrong about the #110 guy now makes me doubt whether you have a clue about Giles and Tatum. I fully expect both a Duke, but now that your track record has taken a hit. Hahahahahaha

Dummy, you and your idiots are celebrating like you just got Jordan and Worthy instead of 145 and 110. You've missed out on every top target. Even kids who grow up hole fans won't come anymore. Enjoy your one last decent year and then off to the NIT you go.

calvindog1 Hahaha! Why are you so consumed with UNC? Why does it bother you so much that they celebrate? Instead of celebrating Duke and their title, you are fixated with everything UNC......why are you lurking around the board of "idiots"? Is it jealousy that you can't be a part? Didn't Josh McRoberts teach us not to get caught up in rankings/stars? Haha. Fun fact.....McRoberts was on the team that got upset by VCU, and VCU was the school Williams was previously committed to.

Good logic, dummy. Makes a lot of sense. As for being obsessed you posted a thread on a Carolina website about this thread and then deleted it when you got called on it. And there are 20 threads about Duke on IC'e front page. Are you aware that this is a rivalry? Do you think by pretending you don't care about Duke it will make what happened three weeks ago go away? UNC can only get players now who know they will be staying 4 years -- so a year of no postseason play won't matter. Enjoy your two losers!

Starting spot on the national champs -- or a rotation player on a team which may be banned for postseason play next year? Easy choice.
@jtucker473
@jtucker473 9 жыл бұрын
1)You do realize next year is a new season right? Duke's core squad is gone, so it's not a starting spot for the national champion. 2) Nothing is pointing to a post season ban for UNC. Why you think Emmert is choosing to make statements in preparation for the NCAA to not being able to do anything. Now for my list: He can play in front of thousands and be a part of one of the greatest basketball families or play in front of hundreds in a high school gym. He can be part of a rotation with a squad with a proven point guard or take a risk hoping a freshman guard will get him the ball. Logical choice.

J Tucker It's a shame you responded like a delusional fan and can't look at the situation realistically. Duke is a hotter program right now as is Kentucky and other schools. And believe it or not, Duke plays in front of thousands too - but more importantly has better national exposure than UNC. And has a coach who a) is the Olympic coach who coaches the best players in the world; and b) has a proven track record of getting freshmen into the lottery -- even freshmen who weren't considered to be one and done players coming in. Roy on the other hand hasn't had a one and done freshman since Wright about 8 years ago and has managed to botch surefire lotto picks like James Michael McAdoo -- and also managed to keep great talents like Harrison Barnes for more years than he should have. And there's a reason Carolina has such experienced players coming back next year -- none of Roy's players are first rounders even after playing three years at UNC -- including a guy who was a preseason first team AA this year -- and who ended up killing his draft position by continuing to play at UNC. As for Duke's point guard, a "freshman" managed to be MOP in this year's final four (and regional) for Duke while UNC's PG watched it on TV. And Duke's PG next year, Thornton, is better than whatever UNC will have, just as Tyus Jones was better this year. And lastly -- you're dreaming if you think UNC will not be sanctioned for the worst academic cheating scandal in the history of the NCAA. Dreaming.

calvindog1 Your delusional if you think Derryck Thornton is a better PG then Marcus Paige. Marcus averaged 14 points a game this pass season while playing with plantar fasciitis. Thornton couldn't put those numbers up even if he was healthy and you know it. And with or with or without Ingram UNC will be a top 5 team in the nation. With him however we would be by far the best team in the nation.

calvindog1 Proven track record with freshman? Haha.... You mean one and done talent coming in and doing just that? Tell me, what did K do for Irving? Nothing.... He got drafted on his own merit, just like the other high level one and down recruits. Minus the last two season, give the names of all the other freshmen. Haha.... More national exposure than UNC.... How, by playing their usual weak nonconference schedule? Who cares about being a hotter program, that doesn't always equal national titles. Go ahead, tell me what jurisdiction and ruling the NCAA will make. I'll wait.

Guys, it's a business decision. K has more playing time for BI, his program is not under a black cloud of sanctions, and he has gotten Kyrie, Rivers, Jabari, Winslow and Okafor all into the lottery after one year -- and Tyus Jones into the first round -- while Roy has gotten ZERO freshmen anywhere during that time period. As I said earlier, Roy hasn't gotten a freshman into the lottery since I believe 2007! And Duke just won the national championship. Duke is the better place for such a player like BI and there's really not a single factor you can cite in your favor other than the fact that your entire emotional self-worth is tied up into your team.
