I'm o negative and I'm going to donate for the first time. I'm Canadian. When I was 11 I fell through the ice when we were skating. I was completely submerged in the frozen water And couldn't find my way up. All there was above me was the frozen ice. Until my friend's mom pulled me out. My friend's mom went to the hospital with me in the ambulance and her dad stayed with the other kids. My friend's mom who's a nurse ended up screaming at the doctor because he couldn't get an IV into my arm. Ever since then I've had a terrible phobia of needles. I've been seeing psychologist who specializes in phobias to try to get over this. I've been doing exposure therapy. I'm finally ready to try blood donation. So, wish me luck everyone cuz every time I think about it I want to get sick but I'm going to do it even if I have to do it with the Xanax.

Gonna be the a first time donor soon, I'm not 18 yet but will be soon and blood donation is the first thing I'm gonna do!

I was the one who going into year 11 of school desperately wanted to be a donor after their birthday after having 3 transfusions due to cancer the year before, but finds out because they had a type of blood cancer they are ineligible so decides to become a junior ambassador instead and then at her schools sign up day walks around telling all her piers her story and convinces literally 11 times more students and teachers than normal to donate and is asked to go to all the events in town the Red Cross goes to to sign people up to donate, but 2 months later her cancer relapses so doesn’t get to do than and stops counting after getting 20 new transfusions (would estimate at least 50 total, but like I said, stopped counting at 20) and nearly dies instead.

As an O- i can say... MONEY 🤑🤑💰💰💰
