This series means a lot to me. Thank you. 🎉 Do you have videos explaining the use of tokens in design and code?

Do you need to have "auto layout" enabled? When I goto the settings it give the option for "truncate text"' but there is no icon showing "max line". I'm a newbie so forgive me if I"m missing some piece that is "obvious"

At 11 years of experience, this person should know all of this. My reason for considering leaving UX is because salaries are dropping and a ton of senior people cannot find jobs that will pay their existing mortgages. I know so many people who are struggling right now.

You should have also compared this site map with actual site and tell us how it will look , because now I am confused if these organization labels are section on pages or categories inside dropdown of shop now in navigation. Video is super useful but this thing put me in delima

How come you didn’t use subtract for the last 2 shapes? Seems like it would have been easier to remove those shapes

Amazing stuff but do I need to be so precise with my distance or can my distance vary from yours?

You can adjust the size of your circles and the rectangle stem to customize the design as needed. Let me know if there's a specific result you're after.

As a junior UX/UI designer, this video is absolutely true, 100%. It's so hard to find a job in this state of market and it's probably gonna get worse, comparing to 2019/2020, sometimes I'm in a real disbelief 'cause all the search provides me nothing... And all the points about understanding the reason of becoming a designer, and the fact that design is hard - all of them were really good. Thanks for the video

Which ever that you enjoy more. If you like to be more hands on, design. If you like to be more on the strategy and planning side, management.

Sorry, when they said themselves they take 50-60 hours to fulfil their role and responsibilities, that raised huge red flags. After a decade of experience they should have the skills to be more efficient. If they didn't have those skills it makes me question if they had the other skills required to overcome the other complaints on this list.

Yeah, that’s a fair comment, unless it’s an agency, they can be pretty brutal.

Sure, but not every industry experienced the same influx as tech. The lower barrier to entry makes this much easier for tech.

For sure. I totally get where you're coming from. Like any career, the more it evolves, the more complicated it gets. Just a few years ago, there was no AI in the mix, and tech stacks were a lot simpler. People like us could take our time learning things step-by-step. But now, anyone starting out has to catch up on everything that came before and then some!

Great video! Another tip: you can trigger text truncation not just by the number of lines but also by setting a fixed width. For example, if I enable truncation and narrow the text box, it automatically adds ellipses. This is especially useful for truncating single-line text based on its length.
