Oh you got yours? I pre-ordered one on august 6th and it says its been in a shipment center in philadelphia since august 29 (a month ago). Hope to get this soon

This also happened me it still says preparing for shipment so I contacted the company and told them my situation last week and they sorted me out and the vinyl came in today but it didn’t come signed even tho I bought the signed one 🫠

Indie exclusive essentially means that it’s only sold in select independent music stores, meaning not the big box chains like Newbury Comics, Target, Books-A-Million, etc.

i love Green Day more than any band and even though i don’t listen to them as often as some other bands, they will always be my favorite. this is a fantastic album and i’m planning on ordering this one soon! 🤘🎸

I love CDs more than any music way to listen to music and I never stopped buying CDs but I hate how so many modern ones come in slide out cases. They just scratch up the discs so bad trying to force them out or they fly out.

To add to your comment, with this specific release, they're making the liner notes as simple as possible. If you compare these liner notes with any other Green Day notes from past albums on CDs (especially older ones), Saviors looks boring and somewhat 1950s-ish. There is so little style it looks like it could've been made out with a typewriter with special font. The inside has no pictures or color, just plain, boring white and black. Despite customers still buying CDs, I'm assuming the percentage of CD sales is low compared to LP and digital. So, distribution companies don't want to spend too much on a format that not many people buy, hence why they come in slide-out cases instead of jewel cases and why some have straightforward liner notes whereas others don't even have any liner notes. These companies can't really be blamed; they're going to spend more money on a format that people are buying more of which explains why LPs cost more than CDs due to their presentation through the use of multiple LPs in an album, gatefolds, various variants of disc color, and, of course, costing more to produce than CDs. Who knows? Maybe CDs will have the same rise in interest and sales in the future much like LPs did.

@@TheTreyBlue Yep. CD buying jewel cases in 2024 is not gonna really screw up the Earth due to plastic. We humans already screwed up the Earth so they need to just do CDs right again. In Japan they stil do. Japan loves Cds

@@TheCardsharp I was buying LPs in the late 90's when no one was by me. I managed to sell a Pearl Jam record Binaural for 750 dollars that I paid 20 bucks for. So yeah I was smart as a teenager lol. I was looking ahead to help pay off debt and loans. I got a few albums still from the 90's that didn't have much pressing worth close to 1000. Not sure if CDs will but they will too. Certain Cds you can't get anymore the way they were. The 1980's love is still going on but starting to fade a little. The 90's are catching steam so the CD may return. I have every format and I even have a Tech 1200 record player from Japan with Marantz 1975 equipment with high end needles and it sounds amazing but I still prefer the simplicity of the CD

I don't like the cheap packaging, AC/DC's latest album has a real shitty album sleeve, it was a pain in the ass to get the cd in and out, with the results that the cd sleave broke on me. I was a bit creative and made my own jewelcase version of the album. Nothing beats the jewelcase

Personally I enjoy digipaks the most. Too many times have I bought used CDs and the hinge on the jewel case is completely broken, so the front part will just pop off when I try to open the case. Minor cracks are okay, but the case itself should still be able to function

I bought my CD from my local FYE on sale for 11.99 and they were giving away the guitar picks but they only gave me one instead of a packet like some people are getting.

I hate these CDs shapes. Putting it back in the case is like a challenge to not try to damage the case. A sleeve over a standard jewel case wouldve been great. I even tried to tape it into a small miniature house. (The shape of the CD is actually similar to one by Explosions in The Sky which DOES fit as a little house, but the flaps on 72 Seasons are too narrow to do so) The CD itself won't even fit in a CD case with the rest of my Metallica albums due to be ever so larger. I just don't know what the purpose of it was. It's a shame as I do like the illustrations inside.

I had some issues with getting it back in the sleeve. I found if you fold it back the way it came, and then hold the case from the top and bottom, it’ll avoid catching on the sleeve. You just have to close it as much as you can

I missed this one too and annoying which sucks. I don’t know if I have the willpower to actually spend the $300-400 on the resale market on eBay and other places but maybe I’ll cave one day when I have the money to dump like that. I’ve been watching for months (getting close to over a year) to see if it will finally go down but they are holding strong. That’s funny I’m from maine too (read the comment below)
