It’s now 2024 and I’ve had this video in my like videos on KZbin since about 2 weeks after it was posted. Seeing this video and how cool these guys are. I knew from the first time I watched this video that’s who I wanted to become. I would love to go into the Cost Guard, Air Force, Army, etc… Sadly medication is the one barrier keeping me from starting my journey.

Navy Seals have stated that AST is harder than BUDs. They didn’t show the really crazy stuff they go through in training.

I’m 41 years old and made the commitment to join USCG two months ago. I’m currently watching this in the hotel, the night before MEPS. I’m currently on the CGC Stone. I’ve been in for a year, I thought I wanted to go IS, got masted, and now I realize I never would have lasted doing a desk job. I always forget the reason why I joined a lot, but i joined to be a rescue swimmer and I somehow forgot about that. Ive been in over a year and a half, and this is what I want. I keep being told everyone fails out and they discourage me from trying. To be honest, I have to make a lot changes, but I have no doubt I can do it. I have the drive and passion. I’ll be here on this fuckin boat for a while, and i’d anyone has any suggestions on what I should do, whether that be diet advice or workout advice, I need to hear it. Thanks again if you read this, even more if you share advice.

can females make it through A school? Im training with Special Warfare in the AF and considering switching to USCG Rescue Swimmer. AF's IFT is 8 pull-ups, 48 sit ups, 40 push-ups, 1.5 mile in 10:20, 2-25m underwater swim, and a 500m in 15 mins (did mine in 7:04). The recruiter told me I physically qualify to go in for rescue swimmer, but how likely am I to make it through and graduate as a female?
