YOLANDA EATING THEM OVERDRIVE BELTS! THOSE BELTS ARE SO FULL! SHE'S SO UNDERRATED!
@addhoc2563 сағат бұрын
nobody can sing and dance at the same time. so its either one or the other. if you do complicated dance moves you use your belly muscles for dancing. if you sing long notes or need control over other notes you need the same muscles. Rihanna often playbacks when she dances or sings with a tape. Unfortunately they often choose visuals over sound.

Nasaline Dion yet Mariah uses nasal techniques as well when there’s more demand in shows LOL The fact that nasal technique helps Celine to do more shows since she’s very demand in doing shows more than Mariah. She tours a lot than mariah ever since.

I get the misconceptions of Faouzia being classified as a mezzo - soprano. Having developed lows is also an attribute that sopranos can do like: Vivian Reed, Regine Velasquez, Lisa Fischer, Beyonce, Celine Dion, and Tori Kelly. It's kind of groundbreaking, that you classify a mezzo as someone with only rich low notes, It's not merely on how high you can go or low, it depends on your vocal fach or color, Faouzia is a typical light mid soprano, if you take away her low larynx habit of belting during her early years compared as she belt those C#5-D5 now, it's light yet solid than a typical mezzo who sounds very solid and dark in that area. I believe Faouzia can take up above E5 as she gradually develops her chest voice more and improve her core strength and stamina. That's an area she needs to improve more, especially coming from someone who is an untrained vocalist. She has been currently improving over the course of years, and has left out the habit of lowering her larynx, it might lead to regression if she does it more often. (Ex: Christina Aguilera, who often lowers her larynx and throatiness, resulting to undeveloped chest voice.) Actual MEZZOS in the industry: Shirley Bassey, Judy Garland, Jasmine Sullivan, and Lady Gaga. It's kind of disrespectful to drag the actual mezzos on the ground.

Mariah experienced irreparable damage to her vocal cords in 1997. She toured all of 1996 for the Daydream album nonstop, literally, including Japan, and went right into the studio to record the Butterfly album without resting or taking a break. This is why her voice on the Butterfly album is drastically different than Daydream. 1997 to 2000 her voice is crunchier, nasal, and very husky. 2001-2005 it’s strained and disconnected, like she struggles to connect the notes and has to separate them (acapella break section in Vision of Love as an example). After 2006, it’s basically the broken and tired voice we hear today. Her belts are just piercing and one note; like yells. Her tone is almost unrecognizable, and very weathered. People who hear Mariah sing today and think she sounds “great” aren’t accustomed to Mariah’s voice from the 90s. They usually became fans after 2005. I fell in love with Mariah’s voice in 1992 when “I’ll Be There” was performed on MTV. Kids today don’t know about that. That’s true Mariah before the damage. I’ll always love Mariah, but not to the point of delusion.

There are other great Female and male singers who can sing the whistle notes. These are the 5 best in this video. 1 Minnie Riperton 2 Mariah Carey 3 Betty Wright 4 Chante Moore 5 Morisette Amon
Love it all but as of today Chante Moore dominates.
