You would have had less catches if you had sawed the branches off closer to the trunk Make a domed block to fit the inside of bowl and apply outdoor carpet tape to hold it and round over the bottom edge. And slightly some the center. Decorative lines can be cut in bottom using a skew tip , or a chatter tool and point tool or a Decorating Elf tool and point tool
