I just wanted to say, thank you so much for these videos and your playlist The Fundamentals of Marxism. I've been looking for/ watching Theory videos for awhile now and all of the Content Creators and videos that I've found, as amazing as they are, are predicated off of the assumption that you know the basics/ fundamentals of Marxism. But since I'm broke because I make just enough to take care of my needs, so i can't really afford to purchase any books. This was perfect for me. Now i can watch these and go back to Yugopnik, Second Thought, Hakim, The Deprogram, etc with the fundamentals I've learned from you and finally have a greater understanding of their content on theory.

I also find it interesting how left socialist projects never actually move beyond the "transitionary period" into their classless society, regardless of how long they exist. The Soviet Union never did. China and the Southeast Asian projects never did. The Latin American projects never did. They ALL were totalitarian centralized, top-down economies controlled by a political elite. I have heard Marxists rationalize this saying that they'd LIKE to have things like freedom of speech, freedom of the press, etc., but because shadowy "Imperialists" are at hard at work to subvert the "socialist project" as soon as it starts they can't. Of course, rationalization is all this is. The selectively idealistic, rose-colored glasses Marxists like to see their heroes through, it is just that. The reality is that when the average person gets power, especially when that power is obtained through violence, it is childish and naive to think that they would want to give that power away.

Lenin’s theory is more academically sound but Ultra-Imperialism is more pragmatically useful. Russia is not socialist, but they have far worse optics than the US to most people so in a pseudo accelerationist sense it makes sense to support anybody that opposes NATO and the western bloc. Plus Russia at least still has some fragments of living memory if the USSR at its height which could be useful for reversing the bourgeoise counter revolution and thus defeating the western narratives of capitalism “defeating” communism. But frankly the most important part of this video is to understand imperialism exists, and is bad because it creates bourgeois proletariats and also hides the true excesses of capitalism overseas from the citizens of the core who have almost no reason to radicalize (thankfully I was different)
