Why don't you mention the slave trade which existed IN Africa (Africans buying and selling other Africans) for many hundreds of years BEFORE Europeans started transporting slaves to the Americas? Or that about 90% of those black African slaves were sold TO the Europeans BY other black Africans? Or that, many years BEFORE this, Europeans were taken as slaves by Africans?....and how Britain, after freeing some of it's citizens from those Africans (at huge expense, money-wise) found it was much cheaper to pay "protection money" to ensure their ships weren't stolen, and their citizens weren't enslaved? Why didn't you mention Madam Efunroye Tinubu, who grew rich by trading her fellow blacks? ....she was trading slaves long AFTER Britain had banned slavery....Nigerians are so proud of her, that there is a statue of her in Tinubu Square in Lagos, and another in Abeokuta!!... Britain, of course, after slavery was banned there, actively fought to stop slavery....while Africans were still buying and selling their own.... It seems we have double standards from you, Mr Martin!!

I remember doing a concert version of this at BAM while it was only three characters ( I sung Prince). It's wonderful to see how it has evolved.

What an awful promotion clip. Revolting schtik by that woman. Stop promoting this pushy, BULLYING type of behavior -- even if only make-believe.

OH MAN. I've been trying to turn Invention of Morel into a play for the past 10 years. Turning it into an Opera AND a VR Experience is a PHENOMENAL IDEA. Congrats to all involved (and take it to NYC next please!!)

Singing generally very good, especially the baritone. Music showed that Verdi was on his way to becoming a great composer......I thought the machine guns at the end were in extremely poor taste given the recent mass killings,,,,,,,a huge turn off
