I'm from the same generation that all circlular saws are Skilsaw's . That's the power of influence of the model 77 worm drive

I use my Delta Unisaw more than any other saw. I also bought that same humongous Makita circular saw for timber framing but not much else. Your dogs are beautiful. I kept expecting the yellow to pop through your legs when you weren’t expecting it.

Reciprocating saws are somewhat safe so long as you’re not cutting through pipes and wires😮👍🇨🇦

I meant the sanding machine out in the open that you didn't have a name for, I have one the same, the belt goes horizontal or vertical and the table ajusts to all angles. In Fresno it's probably OK outside a lot of the time. If I put mine outside here in South Wiltshire in England, it would be rusty in 24 hours. They are very useful.

Yes, the 3 on the right are considered a finish sander as well. But have the ability of a sander and a grinder. It moves lots of material .

Same! I love his videos but would be awesome to see projects start to finish but I know that can be difficult especially if he’s a one man show. Either way, keep the content coming!

How long does the wood have to airdry before you can put it in there, in terms of bending and cracking of the wood?

I appreciate you doing this video Ive been air drying all my own lumber and the bugs I feel are holding me back from selling anything that I build . I think this bed bug set up is the answer I really enjoy your videos and the knowledge you share Thanks

What finish is that? I see someone said it was Tung Oil, but you said the finish dries in about 4 hours. TO take a lot longer than that. Just one application?

Fumigation is now very expensive and there aren’t a lot of companies that will do it because of the insurance risk.

Fumigation is cheap enough. Just quicker to use a bedbug heater than wait for service

@@KeithNewtonWoodworking ok, thank you. And if you were wiping it would only be tung?
@89bavaro89Ай бұрын
We all know he loves speed. He sprays his wipe on finish!

@bobbillock879Ай бұрын
What sprayer and finish did you use thanks
@jordanoakie8001Ай бұрын
It's Tung oil. And the sprayer is inconsequential, he's just using it as an applicator, not looking for a flawless finish (you wouldn't get it with a sprayer like that). Any cordless sprayer would do the same thing he's doing.

I'm a 4 th generation carpenter up in the bush in Canada. We mostly did high end island homes/cabins from foundation to finishing we did it all except the electrical and plumbing. I'm moving into more solo finishing and custom work now. Love your videos. Interesting to see other perspectives, work flows and how climate effects it all. Being in pine country we rarely touch anything else (except hardwood flooring) to build with so I sure am jealous when I see the wood you deal with! Thanks again for all the content

Another great video Keith! Ive been pondering how long you keep finished product around (tables tops and bases, chairs) and this answered the question. Its a mental shift to keep working on the craft; make what people like; and have hope, but not a timeframe, for pieces to sell. Thanks again!

I spent $250 on one bandsaw blade. Admittedly it is tungsten tip and I have had it for several years. I got so sick of bandsaw blades lasting a very short time.
