Just wrapped up sessions for a new album I was working on. This band was a big influence on the band and our sound

Is it this place that makes me fall from you Forget the words that once rang so true Did we expect that life was ever fair, my god... I sowed a field of rose and reaped a whipping rod And everything I've held too tight inside Could make a part of me die And if my lips could only speak the name The dam would break What is this ice that gathers round my heart To stop the flood of warmth before it even starts It would make me blind to what I thought would always be The only constant in the world for me And every hours of every day I need to fight from pulling away And if my mind could only lose the chain The dam would break For all the things I hid away And all the words I could not say The dam would break

this song is bittersweet for me. makes me cry at the same time, gives me hope, wisdom and even strength to go on despite hardships in life. the dam would break but i would be swimming to the sea and find my pearl there.

Tool - Wings For Marie part 1 and 2.

this album was their masterpiece and the labels mistreatment of it is what broke the band up. they felt they couldn't top it snd the label wanted a new album filled with "All I Want" styled pop songs and Toad broke up in the middle of recording that album. Coil is worth every penny you have to pay to get a copy. and the Dave McKean artwork and poster inside the CD was icing on a dark and beautiful masterpiece

EB, I agree with you. I really do pity your age group. I'm in my 50s, been music-crazed all my life and I LOVE THIS BAND!! This song is beyond gorgeous to me.

this generation knows nothing about music, sadly. I feel so lonley being the only damn fourteen year old who appreciates music like this, vs. the pop culture crap of today. This is where it's at.
