WOW…what a great video! SUB’d and liked. I am getting there. No probs with Syntronic, but SampleTank has been a nightmare. I finally came upon your channel and this has prevented me from bashing my computer into small pieces. IK should be ashamed! The thing I do not like are all the folders and sub folders and sub folders etc etc. Now I’m cleaning everything up and finally getting somewhere. Thanks for posting.

Believe me, I feel your pain. I am deeply scarred from my experience of downloading from IK Multimedia. Always ridiculously slow and flaky. I don't expect a large library to be quick, but after 6 days of more or less continuous downloading ( I promise I am not lying ) I have still not finished. I've also ended up with an absolute rats nest of folders and sub folders, and not really sure what to do with them. As you mentioned yourself, the downloads would constantly stall and if you don't actually sit at the pc the whole time, you won't know about it until you check. Nightmare!

Your video should ship with every purchase. I actually have had the software for a couple of years and the software is great. You don't really need anything else. But the first impression that this Product "Mis" Manager makes on a new customer is terrible. Install is like punching your way out of a plastic bag.

Hi ! How did you install the software, in my case Sampletank 4 !I CAN’T install Sampletank 4! I tried everything, the product manager says „ the volume disc on the download path does not exist, and when I want to install the volume disk=sounds they say, I have to install Sampletank 4 first……no way…and the support sais, my message has invalid characters - no answer--on purpose??.I give up….if there's no solution, I want my money back, thanks!

Had to discover all this myself first hand. I find that if you pause the download and wait for a few seconds it'll resume because when the download is in progress it is a .part file before a .zip when its finished. Most browsers do the same thing. Its the same experience in windows. I open the task manager and look at the network adaptors bandwidth and have a sure answer if its going or not. Give it like 8 minutes and it will pause on its own again 😒. Thank you though its validation that its not all a big waste of time. I just the purchased the studio max 4 bundle very cheap for Black Friday. As I started installing it and started running into issues, I'm finding out looking for solutions that its been almost 5 years and IK doesn't seem to care enough to streamline their stuff and to give a better customer experience. Probably easier to just torrent the stuff to obtain the library and do all your legit stuff for the license after lol. Hell Reason Studios offers a torrent option to get their daw.

What is a good audio interface for that microphone 107 or 103 on Windows? Is there any advantage over any of audio interface(s)? have you owned the MOTU MK5?

I had the same problem as you affirm in your video. Basically, all ST4 instruments install fine. The problem is with the ST3 instruments. These, you have to bypass the installation file and literally copy the files directly into the Sampletank3 Folder, just as you suggest. The Syntronik files also go into the Sampletank3 folder. Good video, btw. ;)

I purchased and own three of IK's *MAX* products Sampletank being the latest one with 600+ gigs of sounds. Problem is IK's downloader is absolutely trash. You have to sit and watch it. In the middle of downloading , it will just stop. You have to pause it, wait a few minutes (5-10) and then start it again. I had to do this 3-5 times for anything over 4GB, which most of their libraries are.

I have Max but I really don't think by today's standard that the Syntronik and Sampletank stuff is worth the hassle. It's nowhere near as good as other companies stuff. The amount of garbage it leaves all over your computer is ridiculous.
