This video is so good! It’s really well made and calming I was genuinely shocked your channel is so small it’s so underrated. But I will say for the record, your hands do have muscles, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to move lol

Very cute, I really like your space cats! I’m sorry that first one broke, but you could use some superglue to fix it , and then paint the back of the glass to look like space. Keep up the good work!👍

When it drys you rehydrate it like water color paints when your ready to use it. No need to stir it all up again and what not. Its just a waste of time.

I have seen one youtuber use an electrical mini mixers that probably are ment for drinks to mix her jelly Goache nice and smooth again 😊

There is two types of gouache, one that re-wets and can be used like watercolour (wet or dry, up to preference - like these) and the other one that's called acrylic gouache, which doesn't re-wet. First one is incredibly versatile as you can use it thinned down like watercolour and get more transparent techniques down too, while the acrylic ones are great for layering, because going over the layers doesn't disturb the dry ones underneath (the ones that can be re-wet can be more difficult to layer). If you want to find out more about gouache, look up Sarah Burns Studio here on KZbin. She has done tons of comparisons and has lots of tips and tricks around gouache. Love the artwork! Now put the middle palette on, then put the whole thing in a snap lock bag then click the top lid on, and they’ll stay good and wet longer now. I’ve stored mine like that for last 2.5 years and never had to rewet/glycerine them and they’ve not molded either 🤗

@@EllieSketches I don’t/haven’t, but some people do with these jelly gouache to keep them “jelly” instead of using water which is basically watering them down all the time. Lots of other videos you can find on this topic on YT now, but I found the snaplock bag kept mine fine all these years 🤗

@@lunalimi9798 that is not how mould works. mould can grow anywhere where there is water and organic materials, meaning that while this gouache is not organic, any organic contaminations (which are almost impossible to avoid when not in a sterile environment) can cause mould.

It seemed to have dried out before any mold could form. My set has never molded either. I rehydrate it with distilled water when needed.

Hi! So as far as I know you could use them similar to watercolors when they are dry like this, there is no actual need to turn them into the liquid again (unless you want to!)

@@EllieSketches Contrary to what I have seen people saying recently, these are not called “jelly gouache” because they are gelatinous. They’re really not gelatinous even when fresh, although I would say that have a somewhat more “gel-like” quality than do traditional gouaches, or at least they are a little bit more “slick.” They’re actually called jelly gouache because they come in those little cups which are like cups jelly comes in (especially in Asia.)

Sorry, I can never edit for some reason - I will also add that I actually prefer dry, or semi-dry “jelly gouache.” I let mine turn to a thick paste and now mist it with water to try to keep it that way. But I think once it’s not really fresh and wet it’s a lot more like traditional gouache. It seems to have better opacity, too.

I have had a couple of my woodless pencils fall. I put a pencil grip around the broken spot. At least I know that and where it is broken. Even though I love my Prismacolor pencils I am frustrated by pencils that are a mess on the inside with no indication from the outside (guess they are like people). I have been able to salvage them, if I didn't sharpen them to death, by baking for a short time and letting them cool. With the gel crayons baby wipes are great for blending and either way, with the wipes, your hands will clean up quickly. I loved your drawings. I also hope you Googled a recipe and ate the Bok choy.

I use large silicone rubber bands on my drawing board. I got a 10 pack on amazon. They don't break down as much as traditional elastics.

They are quite fun and interesting, I like them even though I don’t use them as much as I thought I was going to! Having said that, you can always get the same ‘kind’ of reference if you puppeteer a couple of friends for reference pictures. 🤣😅 (usually pizza can persuade a willing friend into a model)

Oh the gel sticks are much fun! A go-to supply as of late when I am in a creative mood but not sure what to make. They are chunky so they don’t allow me to get stuck on details. A true shift in perspective: instead of thinking “what should I make?, I find myself exploring and just doing things for the sake of fun and experimentation. Definitely recommend them for play time or if you ever feel stuck. 🌻🌻🌻 Yes! I have entered my yellow era 😅 It evokes feelings of brightness, warmth and general happiness so I have saturated my life with it. What is yours?

I'm in Ontario, but Delta is my favourite store to order from - partly because they ship Canada Post, so less hassle getting it to my apartment without being stolen. But they also have great prices and a good range of products. It was exciting seeing the inside of their store!
