Looks awesome! Any concerns with not venting the roof?
@BearhawkStudio2 күн бұрын
Thank you! I made a vent that can open and close straight above the heater right at the ceiling - but i am a little worried that the steam will discolor the soffit over time when i open it at the end of the session. Since its electric and there's no smoke i didnt feel like it needed to go straight up through the roof, and was more worried about leaks at the time - but we'll see in the next few months if i was wrong and might have to re-adjust. Good question! Thanks for watching!

Amazing work. It’s stuff like this that makes me want to get out of the city and live like this, with my own shop and space on my property to make projects like this one. FYI, aside from the benefits of Rockwool that you already listed, it’s also has great acoustic properties, so should be terrific for your music listening and any other loud activities you get up to in there!

Check out "window glazing" as another technique for the door glass. Just another way to do it I guess not sure if it would hold up to sauna temps tho.
@BearhawkStudio3 күн бұрын
Oh nice - I've seen people do that but didnt know thats what it was called. Thats exactly what I _wanted_ to do - but ended up just using a high temp silicone caulk around the edges after the guy i bought the glass from told me to just frame it in. That would've looked much nicer if it would hold up. Thanks! And Thanks for watching!

The floor doesnt need to be insulated. My sauna floor has gaps between blanks, it just gives more air to breathe. And it still heats up even with -20 degrees celsius.
@BearhawkStudio3 күн бұрын
Yeah I did that here mostly to try and keep bugs and snakes out. We have an unfortunate amount of black widows and copperheads in my area - so closing it in makes me feel a little better about locking myself in there. 😂

How thick is the wood for the bottle cap catcher 3/4 ?

I'd like to consider making something like this. do you have the plans that you can share?
@BearhawkStudioАй бұрын
I drew up some really basic plans when i got started, based on a piece of glass the church already had for the top of the table - but ended up making quite a few changes as I went to the dimensions based on the thickness of some of the lumber that was available. Like the legs ended up being 3"x3", and the skirt around the table ended up being around 6" so the CNC letters would be readable, and still leave room for the trim. Happy to share the original drawing / dimensions with you though if you wanna reach out through the contact form on my website. And going forward I'm planning to create much more detailed plans for all my projects and make them available.

@@BearhawkStudio Hey am I missing something? I see a 1-9/16" forstner bit and 1/4' x 1/8" magnets in your links. Wouldn't a 9/6" bit work? or a bigger magnet?
@BearhawkStudioАй бұрын
@@brettbarker8444 The 1-9/16" forstner is only used to countersink the bottle-opener "coins" into the handheld bottle openers. I used a normal 1/4" drill bit for the smaller magnets on the fridge ones, and a 1" forstner bit for the large magnet (front and back mounted) on the wall bottle opener. Sorry for the confusion there!
