Gorgeous table! Fantastic craftsmanship and design. Just quit my job as a project manager for a landscape architecture firm to pursue furniture making and your videos are giving me a lot of inspiration. Keep up the good work!

Lovely table, but i would be worried about those straight legs wobbling without an apron or stretchers. Clearly you know what you’re doing, could you explain why it’s ok? (Genuinely curious. Not trying to make a know it all comment!)

Duncan I appreciate your question as it does look light on the structure. It's okay because I've done some serious trial and error with the design over the last 7 years. I've distilled it down to what it needs between the dominoes, the sturdy 3" by 3" leg dimensions and the surface area of the two glued faces of the leg to the table it has plenty of strength to be a dinning table. Would I build a work table this way? No. I've made 6 of these tables over that time and have found them to be structurally reliable and sound. That being said, is it the strongest joint on the planet? no. Will it serve as a reliable sturdy dining table beyond the lifetime of it's owners, yes. Is it interesting and beautiful to look at? You bet. Thanks for asking!

I was mesmerized by watching this beautiful pulpit come to life! As a practicing Catholic, it is beautiful to see a young person devoting time and talent to creating something that will enhance others' faith experiences. Your way is from a long line of artists who have made beautiful art for the honor and glory of God. You have already found your gift, Grant, and by using it for the sacred as well as the ordinary, you are doubling and tripling its power. Good for you! And lucky for us!

Grant, What an awesome beautiful inspirational pulpit! The passion and beauty you instilled into the the design of the three Columns is very inspiring, as well as the flaw in the top and timeline. Very very cool! I love when a piece of furniture or design tells a story..we’ll done! 👏👏👏
