The Phosphorus strategy is an absolutelly legitimate strategy and it isn't sily or cheesy. It is a play to rush early and sacrifice your eco to do that. This one was really poorly executed though. It isn't supposed to be a castle drop and the castle needs to secure both wood and gold for it to work. Also, he was a bit stupid with his organ guns, they have to quickly deny your resources and focus your eco. He had them bashing a hole in the wall for ages without even knowing if that opeing was going to lead to anything good

that's not the phosporu, the castle should have been defensive that's the whole point of the strat

I do think it's a legit way to play the game and not a silly strat :) you can check phosporu's channel where he explains the variations he developed to succeed in this one .

That prevented castle drop decided the game, he needed to put his castle directly between wood and gold to protect his eco after hitting the castle age, very well played in your part

Just a few tips to clean up your game play a little! 1. If you had pushed up to Imperial right after that forward castle he would of definetly had no answer for your Trebs rather then making Rams 2. Scorpions and Magonels vs Mangudai with Bodkin and Castle Armor will be shredded with any small amount of micro. Mangudai do great bonus damage against siege aside from Rams. 3. You focused a lot wood and gold even though Romans have a good discount on siege. Food would of definetly been more benificial. 4. Any Mongols player at 1k and above is sure to go FC into Steppe Lancer which would destroy anything other then Skirm and Archers. Pikeman cant counter the +1 range they get and knights can be out played by them easily.
