Beautiful ❤ This brings back memories of where I once lived in New England. A very quiet rural area with lots of wooded acres to hike. In late November to early December I'd take my foraging basket which had been my grandmother's and off into the woods I'd go to gather up pine boughs, moss, princess pine, and holly for my wreath making project. Often times there had been a frost and sometimes an early snowfall. The red holly berries surrounded by their deep green foliage against the backdrop of snow or frost always looked so festive to me. It was as if they were saying "the holidays are here." Indeed they are nearly upon us once again. I miss those walks in the woods gathering nature's gifts to create my yearly holiday wreath and those quiet stolen moments with Mother Earth in all her splendor. It was the perfect time to reflect on the year past and to ponder on the year ahead. Times have changed greatly and I find that my thoughts are now much more melancholy as I wish for the simpler, kinder, and more joyful years I once knew. Yes, I'll reflect on this past year and I'll contemplate what's about to take place in the coming one and the music in the video resonates with the way I'm feeling. It expresses the uncertainty I sense in the days ahead. May we all be blessed in finding the promise of hope, joy, love and peace in the upcoming season of the red berries. ❤
