I tried the coffee grounds for myself and hated them. They scratch the skin really bad. I have a few customers that love them so i still make them, but i switched to coconut flour. It makes the soap feel like a sponge. The soaps with the coconut flour and clays are my biggest sellers. About 1200 bars a week locally.

That mask stops 0% of those fumes. You need to be outside, or in a well ventilated area. Like a fume hood. The Hydrogen gas that comes from the thermal reaction displaces oxygen.

How long to harden? I just made your recipe last night. Took it out the mold. I could crush it in my hand. If I poke it. It’s kinda squishy. Should it be like this? If so how long to rock hard?

I avoid all fast food places because they mostly use super refined canola oils, given it’s the cheapest for these franchises to use in their millions of restaurants :)

No, no, no, never put vinegar on top of a lye burn! It causes an exothermic reaction that results in an even greater burn. Use vinegar for surfaces, not skin.

I loved it! Great video. Just one question: is this bar hard or more soft? Cause i wanna do canola oil soap, but here where i live is so humid, I need the recipe to become hard or else it just melts away... thank you in advance!
@hillsidehomesteadholistic

Its a hard bar but you just have to make sure it fully cures for 6 weeks. I will say once you start using it, it becomes more fragile, if you are looking for a really hard bar coconut oil is the way to go.

Nice scrubs. Good advice about not using the salt scrub after shaving. I bet that would bring tears to the eyes!
