Too often we hear these stories of strong young men falling victim to financial ignorance and social pressures. I find it peculiar that an industry that will monitor your sleep, behavior, off time, assign curfew, conduct bed checks, drug testing, and constant training to ensure a maximum return on their investment, aren't as aggressive with financial literacy. An industry that will attach an agent, manager, accountant, attorney, realtor, jeweler, real estate agent, and investor (often knowing each other) to separate a person from their new found wealth. As a fool and his money is soon parted, a desperate, in-debted athlete is easier to manipulate.
