Me and my wife are coming the 2nd week in October. This will be our first time to Idaho. What are some good things to do and see in the fall? Planning on staying and few days in the CDA/sandpoint area. We will head south to the Boise area for a couple days before flying back to DFW.

I love Coeur d'Alene. The problem is, so does everyone else! 😆 I'd move there in a heartbeat if career responsibilities didn't keep me tied to my current location - so alas, it will have to remain a pipe dream. Maybe for the best, as I wouldn't want to annoy the locals by being yet another transplant.

I grew up in St. Maries, went to grade and high school left 57 years ago. We still have family there. The best hard working people live there in that area.

I loved it there. Raised my 2 girls there. Worked at Potlatch from "76" to "86". Most people are down to earth, good hearted people. You got your close minded POS but you have them no matter where you go. My daughter's still have family there. It's absolutely breathtaking scenery.

I worked at a power generation facility for San Francisco city, at least a couple came down with leukemia.

I live in St Maries and love it. Live right out side of town. People are friendly. Love driving the dirt roads. Home we paid $350,000 but the view is beautiful and don’t have neighbors to close. Love the shops Shift and Grind is a great place to get coffee with great service. Grub Boy is wonderful and love Harvest Foods. So beautiful here.

Why do so many people, including locals, call St. Maries, St. Mary's. Are the public schools really that bad?

I WAS THERE. Its very beautiful and peaceful. The people there are kind, moralistic and sweet, like the PEOPLE ON the Andy Griffith show. He was real. His town was real. MAYBERRY WAS THE STAGE NAME BUT THE REAL NAME IS Mount Airy....North Carolina. ST. MARIES reminds me of Mayberry. They have cool antique shops. Its like traveling back in time to the 1950s. Such a joy in this crazy world.

You seem like a really nice girl. I might even consider using you as a buyers agent. I can also understand you have bills to pay but lets be honest. The market is crashing. After the election if we have one the market will fall hard. I know you know this. I think the CDA area is very nice. I plan on moving there just after the crash. I will buy at the bottom just like the smart buyers did in 2012 - 13. The only difference is this next crash will be way worse than 2008. There were blocks and blocks of foreclosed homes all over the CDA area. It will be the same this time only worse. You would have to be nuts to buy a home right now. If you were dumb enough to take out a mortgage right now you will end up loosing value and going under water. Your trapped. The home now owns you instead of you owning the home. The worst possible position you could be in. What a terrible way to start your CDA experiance. I get it. You need the commission. Anyway I like you. If your still a realtor after the dust settles in the next 18 months or so I will call you to help write a deal for me on a firesale foreclosure. Thanks for the nice videos in the meantime.

If you have no idea what's happening in the housing market. Maybe you shouldn't be talking about it. You should find something else to do because the housing prices will be cut in half pretty soon . All the numbers you're being fed are lies and are totally incorrect. The entire economy, banking and financial system are on the verge of meltdown. You're giving people bad advice and I would not be buying right now. Anything you see on mainstream media and financial channels are lying about everything. All the numbers are lies. There's Tens of millions of houses in foreclosure that you're not seeing because they're not reported. You're missing a lot of REAL information, and you should check out someone like the economic ninja. There's hundreds of people out there where you can learn to FIND the real information. A crystal ball is not what we use to determine our economy, financial system or housing market. These are all things we have data about and you can use this to your advantage to know what the markets are going to do. Like right now you should be educating yourself and your subscribers on how to buy foreclosures and distressed properties. And wait

Lived there for about 20 years back in the 1970s and 80s. Some family still lives there. I visit occasionally. First of all, St. Maries is a logging town. Logging and processing timber is what made the area and is still very important to the local economy. You'll see signs 'This business supports Logging' on many of the town's businesses, so if you're opposed to the lumber industry, I don't suggest moving there. The only decent full time employment is at the Potlatch saw and plywood mill. ALL of the routes in and out of town are narrow, winding, two lane roads. They can get interesting with the logging and chip trucks. Winters can be brutal for those not used to rough winter weather. The roads can be treacherous. In winter or spring, the St. Joe and St. Maries Rivers can flood the valley. The town itself is fine, but the routes north through Rose Lake and south through Emida or Fernwood are cut off. Town entertainment - wise, there isn't any unless you like bars and drinking. I don't know if the bowling alley on 10th Street is still open. To actually go to a movie theater you have to drive to Spokane (65 miles away) or Cour d'Alene (52 miles. There is also the casino outside of Worley, which is about 28 miles away. It's a place where people have to prove they fit in. People who think they are going to change things don't make it there. The area is beautiful and it is an outdoorsman's paradise, but living there takes a certain type of person.

Daum houses are absolute trash. The lots are not properly graded for drainage: I have a lake every time it rains and it’s my own issue. The house foundation is wobbly and creaks/cracks/pops regardless of where you are in the house. Floor boards are separating from the wall. Ventilation ducts are falling off of vents underneath the house. Paint is chipping for no reason on interior walls. Save your money and find something better. Viking homes tend to be a little more well built as it takes their contractors 4-6 months to finish a build. With Daum it takes two months tops. When these issues were brought up to Bill himself, the excuse is it’s not his fault, it’s the sun contractors. Absolutely zero accountability. Don’t support these thieves!!!

Will not buy near power lines. Its a big fat, no way.
