Recently discovered your channel and enjoying the videos. Also jealous of that heritage edition, especially knowing its not available in 2 door for 2025. Do you keep the stock tires on all winter? If so, how are they and does 4A solve any shortcomings?
@TLOverlander13 күн бұрын
@@rxpilon thanks! Nice to have you along... I feel like I kinda lucked out on the Heritage! 👍🏻 I've basically parked my Bronco for the winter, but I drive year round in my Squatched Badlands. I found the tires worked fine in the winter, particularly when it wax nasty out with a base of snow on the road. With hard packed snow or ice, well....not quite as good as a winter tire. But ice I pretty extreme for any tire 🤷 I left it in 2H most times unless it was really bad, and then 4H. 4A is a little laggy to kick in I find.

I’ve had my battery replaced under warranty already (2021). Did you leave a device plugged into the OBD2 port?
@TLOverlander18 күн бұрын
@@dorknerd this unit uses a wired, serial port connection to the port, so nothing was left in or on. With that said, when I use my BT OBD dongle that I use with my ForScan, it's plugged into the Bronco 100% of the time. I've left it in for weeks at a time without issue
@scdealey486718 күн бұрын
If you have the Ford Tuner, you could restore from that. Otherwise, not sure how you could restore everything. Even with Forescan, I backed up everything first before I made any changes… actually, fun fact: I used your video to do the Forescan stuff and backed everything up because you noted that in the video. Talk about being paranoid, I’d be where you are, but probably worse. I hope you get this figured out and let us know. Best of luck!!

If nothing else, remember this; Todays paranoid conspiracy theorist will be tomorrow's prophet. The last 8 years have proven this to be true. With that said, here is what I do with unknown apps. I have an older Samsung Note 20. I have it factory reset so it's as if it has never been used, when I need and app I don't trust I install it from a public Wi-Fi such as MacDonalds and use it offline or only on a public Wi-Fi. Any data I need I can transfer via USB drive; it is NEVER connected to my network. This may not be the best for all applications but if it insists on my network, I look for other options. Best of luck, let us know how it goes. P.s. my wife has a 23 Bronco 2 door, I have been considering using For-scan to make a few refinements.

Great advise... And so true. You can't be too safe, and most people are WAY to reckless with sensitive data... They've been lulled into a sense of complacency. Forscan is very power... But also remember, it too is from Russia and I bet a lot of the code was 'acquired' from Shady means....

Nice video but be cautious. This may not be successful on all models of the Bronco. I tried this on my 2023 Bronco Raptor and all went as shown until it came to clearing the errors by doing a relearn on the PCM and AWD modules. I was able to clear the service engine soon light by relearning the PCM module but the AdvanceTrak error would not clear by relearning the AWD module. In the end, the only way I could clear all the DTC codes (and have them stay clear :) was to return the Tire Circumference value to it's default value (2753 in my case), relearn PCM and AWD and finally clear the DTC codes again. This returned things to normal. Really want this to work since I upsized my tires by 2" and now the speedo reads about 5mph slow at 70mph. Maybe somebody has a ForScan spreadsheet for the Bronco Raptor that shows multiple values that have to be adjusted for this to work? Thank you for the video!
@TLOverlander2 ай бұрын
@@timsfun6653 I think you have to run the service/test procedure on the AWD module? Relearn will give you the constant error. I that what I said in the vid? Can't remember now...
