What sounds better, GP100 or Boss GT-1? And can't you make sound comparison between them? I also have digitech rp360xp (too heavy weight for me),, what can you say about them all at sound comparison
@Tone-QuestКүн бұрын
@@dddddddd9870 I can’t make those sound comparison now, I have sold my Valeton GP-100 and Boss GT-1. Which sounds better between the GP-100 and the Boss GT-1? I would go with the Boss GT-1. I really like the RP360XP, I think its effects still hold up pretty well, but I’m not sure the amp and cab sims do. The Valeton GP-100 is ok, but if you could go acquire one of the versions of the Valeton GP-200, I would highly recommend that, especially if you could get the full fledged GP-200. Great sounding, and very versatile. The Boss GT-1 is all plastic, so it might can’t handle a lot of abuse, but it has great sounds and can run of batteries. If you want an inexpensive multi-effect that sounds good, check out the Sonicake Pocket Master.

Very interesting. I've switched to more modern MFXs, with IR management, but if the amps seem better, the FX part (delay, reverb, chorus and even pitch) are lamentable compared to the 360. So I'm wondering if I won't go for a Boss IR2 and the 360 in the loop for the effects.

What an absolutely awesome demo! You certainly run it through the gamut. One of my favorite Vai models. All the Vai models are on the edgy side, designed for a robust signal chain. The Dark Matter set is no different in this regard. They really cut through an effects chain and the harmonics and clarity are great. They get out in front of things and shine through the mix. Rock on.

@@jaychen2000metal Yes, that is correct. The loop can be moved around in the signal chain, just make sure the loop is before the time based effects (modulation, delay and reverb), unless you would like some of those to go into the front of the amp.

Hello, Chris. I got this pedal two weeks ago and have been struggling to get a "big sound" from it. I plug from XLR left to PA, then FOH sends me to overhead speakers (silent stage setting). It sounds very "clipped" from this. Do you have to run this DI box in stereo (XLR left and right)? Or is another way to do it?
@Tone-Quest7 күн бұрын
@@jedduy8144 I wouldn’t say you have to run it in stereo, and I would also say you shouldn’t have to run it into a DI, especially if you are using the XLR out. Just curious, if you use it with just headphones or using the XLR’s into your computer’s USB audio interface, how does it sound. Not that it helps your situation, but lately I’ve been coming out one of the 1/4” out put and going into my Catalyst 60, with the return of the effects loops configure for Power Amp and I’ve been enjoying the sound/tone I get.
@jedduy81447 күн бұрын
@Tone-Quest Running into headphones w/ Bloka is very good 👍👍 Running XLR into Audio Interface (Focusrite Scarlett) sounds good also. Maybe I just have to ask FOH to turn up my master volume so I'm not clipping 😊🙃 Thank you for reply!

FYI, Digitech + DOD is alive again and staffed by some of the original engineers from its heyday. The Samsung/Harman owners basically shut down the whole office (where I worked, too, though I didn't work with any of the guitar gear) years ago but were recently convinced to sell off the original brand names to new ownership, who were willing to round up some of the members of the old crew. Probably don't have the means to continue support for stuff like the RP360XP, but I've no doubt they're making awesome gear again.

@@LuisSanchez-qp8ki I prefer the Valeton GP-200. It is so close to being perfect. It sounds good, easy to use/understand, not super expensive, has XLR out (which I like), you can import your own or third party IR’s, backup presets easily, has an effects loop, there are a good handful of resources that make quality patches for the GP-200, 8 foot switches that are very configurable… I think the only thing I found it doesn’t have the ability to do is… assign a foot switch to toggle on/off the effects loop, which isn’t a deal breaker but could be very useful.

Only Joking!!! everyone will probably sound pretty the same as if they were using the Zoom or the Digitech, will be £25K worse off and have knackered backs from carrying a valve amp! For the low cost the both sound decent, I’ve had both sounded good and easy to use, plenty of FX and features. The Digitech probably sounds a bit better but I liked the zoom and couldn’t say it sounded shite cos it didn’t. It had some great sounding FX that worked for me.

Thanks for the comment!!! As an active user, could you answer a number of questions? 1. Is it possible to load third-party impulses, etc.? 2. Do you always need a connection to your phone to control it? 3. How many effects can it handle together, in terms of Chorus + delay + ...? 4. In terms of practicality, is it possible to set up something in the form of banks with several cells? And, do you use/have you used it in real live conditions? I really hope that you or other users will answer my questions 🙏 I asked all this for the bass guitar
@Tone-Quest21 күн бұрын
Answer to your questions: 1. Not on the Mooer Prime P1, but you can on the Prime S1 and P2. 2. Just with the Prime P1, and no phone, you can cycle through 4 presets. If you want to adjust effect parameters you need the phone/mobile device. If you want the ability to change banks, and go through the 4 presets of the bank without the phone, I think the Prime S1 would be more of what you are looking for. Also if you pair the Mooer Wireless foot controller with the Mooer Prime S1, you can turn off and on 4 different effects in each patch. The Prime P1 and S1 are essentially the same device but the S1 is built in a foot switch enclosure and you also get the ability to load third party IR's. 3. It has 10 effects block, if you also count the Amp and Cab block. 4. The Mooer P1, P2 and S1 use the concept of banks and 4 patches per bank. The Prime P1 has 10 Banks. I've not used the Prime P1 in any professional live venues, but I've used it to jam with friends and in a few social gathers and it did great for my needs. I hope that helps a little.

@@Tone-Quest Just riding on this exchange as well (1) when switching patches without a phone can some patches be for bass and others for guitar? Or do patches saved either all for guitar, and all for bass. (2) can the looper overdub with both bass and guitar presets?
@Tone-Quest18 күн бұрын
@@jesterariola2864 (1) When switching patches without a phone can some patches be for bass and others for guitar? Unfortunately, I would say no. They split the Prime P1 into three sections: Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar and Acoustic, so you have to choose which section or environment you want to be in. (2) Can the looper overdub with both bass and guitar presets? I would say it is not intended to work that way since you have to choose which environment you want to be in: Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar and Acoustic, but I would say it might be possible, since some electric guitar amps are really bass amps that have become popular for guitarist to use... i.e.: Fender Bassman. So, it might be possible to get a semi-decent bass amp patch or tone to be use in a loop under the Electric Guitar environment. I hope that helps. Cheers.
