I totally have the non piston legs. I haven’t been able to fix that with any of the bike fitters I’ve been to 😢
@endorphintherapist2 күн бұрын
Do you think it may be fit related or body related (e.g. stiff hips)?
@Zwiftsushi2 күн бұрын
@@endorphintherapist most likely hips. I’ve also never been able to feel any sit bone engagement with saddles. Any suggestions

Ive always had doubts in training calves being that some of the best runners never trained them and say "running should naturally strengthen the areas that you need while running". It's hard to find a time to program them without it interfering with normal running activity.
@endorphintherapist2 күн бұрын
Great disscussion point, thats something that always comes up. Whilst running does strengthen calves to a certain level its not a very effective way of improving tissue capacity as you can't progress the load in a targeted manner. I think doing 3 sets post running session 3x a week is a very time efficient way to get some calf work in without affecting your running too much

I wish mine would grow🤦🏼♂️ trying to grow them in the gym but they’re impossible :(
@endorphintherapist4 күн бұрын
Hahhaha don't worry you're not the only one. I find strength and size don't really correlate with calves as a lot of how "large" your calves look is determined by how long your tibia. People with shorter tibia's usually look like they have more calf bulk
@AD-jc9sj4 күн бұрын
@@endorphintherapist yes that’s me, it’s just how my calf is built but it’s so annoying. Some guys don’t even train calf’s but because they’re small, they look huge :(
@timdann22335 күн бұрын
Great video, thank you for sharing. Calf muscles always tight after runs or long walks - will try going the strengthening route instead of just stretching.
@endorphintherapist4 күн бұрын
Thanks, glad I could help! Great idea - yeah stretching usually feels good but won't change too much to address tightness long term

Recently got into road biking and bought an older (2004) Look bike. I'm excited to get my first fitting done next week. It feels close right now but there are moments where I feel some discomfort - loved watching this video, made me more confident in my decision to book this fitting lol! Thanks

Nice review, but why didn't you wait a few weeks so you had some real experience with them? Everything you said here would still be in the video, but you'd be able to add much more valuable insights.

probably far too many years late, but the pedals you have.. I believe you can take off the flats if you just want them to be clipless on both sides.

Strap goes inwards so that if you do a flying mount, and pedaling with your foot on top of the shoe, the strap doesn't hit the crank or chain :)

some people have shoes attached and do a fly mount and spin bike with foot not in shoes for some time. Therefore the strap is looking inwards when closed, so it will not get jammed into chain when it's not closed by flapping on the side opposite the drivetrain

Do you have flat feet, normal arches, or high arches? I've got big old flat feet so it's usually difficult to find a wide shoe. Are these shoes wide, they have them in my local store on special?

Cages in the right size or good straps are much better compromise if you don‘t go for record times or races... I‘m no pro biker and hate bike shoes for walking but on my track bike i use mks xl cages with cinelli double leather straps + good fittin shoes(not to wide and bulki) thats work very well for me...
@adidasandy16 жыл бұрын
Just 2nd what Kevlam21 states. Yeah cut the straps where the cut lines are once you got your sizing nailed and they shouldn't fowl the crank. Good video though, you swayed me to buying them.
@kevlam216 жыл бұрын
The strap is meant to be cut. Thats what the white lines are for! Also the strap opens and closes that way so when pedaling with your feet on them is so the strap isnt in your draivetrain! Urgh.

So when you say a size up Euro sizing, what brand of road shoe do you usually wear? Nice review, been looking at these for the same reason.
@andysocial35206 жыл бұрын
All good, ended going with the same size as my Shimano shoes (Euro 44). Fit perfectly. Might vary in the smaller sizing perhaps, as I’ve heard a few others who have had to go a size up. I’m keeping them with the orange laces though!! Haha!!

I am in college. And have not needed a daily nap every day till this semester(my last semester.) Also what do you think of laying in bed but not actually falling alseep. Does that still help you feel better? Many days it happens to me and I feel more rested.
@endorphintherapist6 жыл бұрын
College does take its toll on you and naps are a great idea to combat fatigue. I think even laying in bed and clearing your mind does make you feel more rested and refreshed as long as you are practicing mindfulness and not thinking about problems/stress in your life
