God was watching over us in Chattanooga Tenn that year , because everytime I see dark grey clouds it freaks me out 😢😢😢

umm, we do have sirens in chattanooga.. what are you talking about? They mostly skirt around hixson, down to soddy.

I see ur near the Arby's. Let's go 2 Arby's y there's a tornado raging 1 mile away :) I live in Hixson by the way

Thank you SO much for filming. I live nearby and I could have died when I found out I missed seeing it. Always been a dream of mine to see and film one (from a distance lol). You lucky bugger. Nice quality from your phone! What kind?

@spiralcookies Chattanooga's not in tornado ally. I was born there and we never had one til the mid 90's (though, there was a suspected f0 in 1988, and I'm pretty certain I was in it). Growing up, they used to tell us that tornados can't form over Chattanooga because of the surrounding mountains. This is only the 4th confirmed tornado I know of in my lifetime in Chattanooga.

Tornado alley extends from just west of the Rocky Mountains to east of the Appalachian mountains it is most definitely in tornado alley more appropriately Dixie Alley which has it's own distinctive tornado features and more deadly.Chattanooga is in an extremely high risk area. Hamilton county has had thirty two tornadoes since 1883 ,out of those eight were in Chattanooga. Retired from NSSSL National Severe Storms Laboratory Norman Oklahoma professional storm chaser.
