That is not comparable. The big advantage of digital cutting is that all jobs can be mixed. The pallet with the material to be processed is simply pushed onto the machine and the cutter processes everything on its own. From loading to destacking, fully automated. Looks slow and clumsy. With a normal zund in the ZCC software you could adjust your speed as fast as you'd want. The overkill with attempts to out match a human is not working in this department.

I think that the Z701 blade is way too weak. It easily brakes when cutting honeycomb boards like reboard. And its sad that you must manually calibrate the 60degree. Blade should be alot thicker and wider in my opinion.

… Thank you for your comment concerning the Knife Z701. The force that occurs on the knife cutting 16mm Reboard (or alike) in 60 Degree angle is extreme. Depending on what Reboard like material you are using and if the speed isn’t reduced this knife braking could occur more often. Nevertheless, we are taking your words seriously. Thanks again.

I'm fairly new to Zunding 4 months in, and until this video I figured you just vacuumed the whole table. We've used a shop vac and then a few days ago I tried a more normal house vac to try to get more of the black belt particles and give it a better cleaning. Maybe this DET would help, and Im currently inquiring about cost etc, but it potentially seems pointless too if you just vac the bed all the time. Thoughts anyone?

Hi Kevin. Thanks for your input. Here are my thoughts: The DET is a time saver. You can set it up in the evening before going home from work to clean the whole belt (including feeding). The ZCC is set up to switch off automatically after the DET is done. The cutter and vacuum are also switched off automatically. However, it is not better than a regular shop vac. The result will most likely be the same it just takes time. *jje
