THE FOG may be as a result of a major underwater volcano eruption that has happened recently... Not sure but its worth investigating. The "Fog" looks like ash to me. I'm in Africa and we are not experiencing this phenomenon - not yet any way.

I almost shat myself on my last one too because the police helicopter was circling, then they said not to grab the rifle (and I don't even own one at all but I had my camping axe, a folding saw, and some knives). They said to walk towards the train tracks but I decided to stay hidden up under my tree, which was good because they then said to put your hands on your head and walk backwards towards the police, which means they were seeing the person they were after and not me. At least I know my fort in the woods does, in fact, look like the rest of the area. I always feel like it sticks out like a sore thumb but I guess that's because I know where it is.

I went stealth camping I Athens Greece in the 70's Hah had a bit to drink and rolled out my sleeping bag under the orange trees in Constitution Square. Passed out. Next morning everything was covered in human shit. If you need a dump in Athens find the nearest bush. I left the sleeping bag there and had to buy another one. Just like Africa human shit everywhere.

Nice area brother, not a fan of filming in profile though, prefer landscape, fill my screen up with that beautiful woodland. A much better view in the second half and my OCD symptoms were relieved 🤣🤣👍🏻. I felt sure you were gunna pitch up

Put a red filter over your headlamp (torch) for knockin about the camp site. Red light won't destroy your night vision and doesn't attract curious critters like white light does. Plus the red filter will dim the torch a bit and be less noticeable to two legged critters as well. They're inexpensive and come in many different sizes. But your torch must have a round bezel to fit the lens cover. Keep at it and maybe your channel will grow as big as that 'step two' guy up in the great white north (that silly place north of me in the states). 🤗 Cheers

@@outsidertank Then why do most militaries and police in the world use red lights at night to preserve their night vision? It seems to me if green light was better at preserving your night vision... most militaries would be using green. Perhaps your privy to some information or studies on the topic.

@@outsidertank Alright I'll look into it. I haven't been in the military since the 80's and we were always told to use red light at night. Perhaps the technology back then wasn't good enough to make good green light. 🤔

I always pack a firearm with me while camping/fishing/traveling but I live in Kentucky USA so it's normal to be armed since we have very liberal gun laws or lack of them! Cool channel mate! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZiVZaWgqd6fp7s

Surprised you didn't experience cold underneath. It seems every other hammock camper uses an underquilt. I use a small thick tarpaulin which clips straight onto the hammock then wraps around underneath. Even in freezing conditions it's extremely warm, and keeps off unexpected rain. But for heavy prolonged rain I also use a large thin tarpaulin over the top. (And I lay branches underneath for a clean dry wood floor.)

Great to join you on your first Bivvy camp in all those years. I have fond memories of the army cadets too. Great times at annual camp. We got to fire SA 80’s but with blank ammunition. Fantastic memories though. I’m also someone rediscovering wild camping later in life. So good to see I’m not the only one having a go. I’m a lot creakier these days 😉 all the best!!
