What exactly was the thrill of these planes going past… was their sound part of it ? And…the infernal fast frame camera noise wasn’t at odds with this ?

Great video, but maybe showing a complete novice doing the same exercise as we all know Lee ,you are a master caster and probably carring out the exercise brilliantly subconsciously.

My 14 yr old son built an F-16 cockpit/flight simulator out of plywood. Has switches, lights, joystick, throttle, foot pedals....just awesome. His dream is to fly either F-16s , F-35s, or Hornets. Godspeed to him living out his dream.

Insane means mentally ill, nothing to do with flying. Also all these photgraphers using machine gun mode is pathetic, just shoot a video instead if you can`t use a DSLR properly. That`s all part of the challenge shooting fast jets, taking maybe 4 or 5 shots per pass, rather than 300 or more and hope you get a good one-anyone can do that.

Nice stuff Lee. I went to Google Earth but I couldn't locate your viewpoint with any authority. I'm thinking you were on the western side, middle of the lake, as they flew northerly??? Beautiful countryside! B&Bs and cattle farms....
