high altitude wines are more complex and have better organoleptics than vineyard wines at lower altitudes;

Absolutely correct, high altitude wines usually have a more intense colour, more concentrated aromas and flavours, greater tannins, a higher natural acidity and, above all, plenty of freshness and smoothness. And high altitude Canarian wines are an example!
