Just hear me out, just once hear me out. I feel like there wouldn't be this political uproar if the show was full blwon making fun of the left like the way they're making fun of the right. I think it's just more people getting mad than "bad writing" . Just my opinion tho...
@agustindiano3 ай бұрын
They are making a satire of the hole political system, Neumann was a representation of the "left" in the US. The thing is that in the US there's not a real left representation all sides are going to sell out to they multinational benefactors. It's amazing how the act of lobby is legal...
@theburrowmedia3 ай бұрын
You’re probably right. Balance would benefit the show greatly, but I personally love political commentary when it’s done correctly!
@agustindiano3 ай бұрын
I think the series always had a lot of satire, and it grows more and more with each season. To me, it's not ruining the plot; they are creating something really different from everything else. Everybody is losing their minds about the political stuff because now they are making jokes about recent events that happen every day, and people don't like being the subject of the jokes. To be honest, it's amazing how these people are just now realizing that the show has always had a political side.
@thekrakensdaughter3 ай бұрын
nobody is realizing that just now, the political stuff just gets way more forced this season, in the first 3 episodes there must be like just one or two scenes without references to political events, in previous seasons it feels like subtext but now is just the main text

Yeah it’s always been this way. But it is a little more apparent this season. Nonetheless, I think it’s still a really solid season. Also: we are in an election year. I’m guessing that it’ll be toned down again next season.

Furiosa is a cinematic masterpiece that has left me speechless! The time and patience one has to dedicate their life, in making a lifetime work, coupled with an unquenchable thirst to provide sheer awe and cinematic brilliance technically and emotionally, stands out at every single minute throughout the movie. Apocalyptic genres are quite easy to enact, since they require an astute understanding of how humans operate on baseline consciousness. George Miller did a fantastic job at delivering this exact sentiment. I am overall pleased with the aesthetic cinematic treatment compared to its predecessor for continuity and not overdoing with CG. Dramatic pacing and character introduction is given justice with sufficient screen time to develop their story arcs and finale plot. The wasteland is merciless and spares nobody. Flawless execution 10/10.
@theburrowmedia4 ай бұрын
I agree with a lot of what you say! And George Miller does it all with minimal dialogue-super impressive! Definitely going to end up in my year-end list.

Great review, but for me it could have been longer! This was epic beyond belief, Dune 2 was the movie to beat for me, and this beat it, controversial I know, but this film totally drew me in from the start, the first 30min hooks you, and Hemsworth is.. well not Hemsworth, he is Dementus! And the best on screen villain for a long time. How audiences haven’t taken to this is quite sad to be honest, and worrying. George Miller has created a masterpiece, and I haven’t felt that epic summer blockbuster feeling, as I did with this, with any movie since the Dark Knight 6:35
@theburrowmedia4 ай бұрын
Audiences are harder to predict these days-especially at the box office. Such a shame that people couldn’t support it on the level it deserved. Furiosa was an epic addition to the franchise and I love the controversial opinion regarding Dune 2. Wear it in your sleeve!

I think people should have faith in Mike Flanagan, as he has absolutely proven himself over the years that he knows exactly what he is doing with his horror films or TV shows. Examples include Oculus, Hush, Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor etc, so trust me, Flanagan will make the next Exorcist movie work and it will be amazing!

I couldn't agree more! Seems the horror community is really behind Flanagan and still has mixed feelings about David Gordon Green after the recent Halloween trilogy. This is a step in the right direction.

Super Mutants were implied, when you saw an arm on the trolley (Gurney) in the enclave scene. The producers of FAllout series, didn't want to put everything into the first season, but here are plans to include everything into the series as it progresses. So, season 2 may have supermutants and or Death claws, and if not, then in season 3. i think this is a good thing to plan, putting everything all at once into the first season, would make it crowded, but als0, no further surprises or anything to look forward to with successive seasons.
@theburrowmedia5 ай бұрын
I agree with you, holding surprises is likely going to lead to a much bigger payoff down the line. I loved how they didn’t wrap up a few of the plot lines.

I’ve been playing Fallout for years. I thought they did a great job with the show. Much better than I expected, especially considering the sad and pathetic state of modern “entertainment” and Amazon’s record with the abomination Rings of Poop. Fallout was well written (although the plot was generic), the characters were relatable (with a couple of duds,) the acting was solid (with a couple of exceptions) and they absolutely captured the tone and flavor of the setting. I liked it so much I’ve watched it twice.
@theburrowmedia5 ай бұрын
I agree that it’s largely generic from a story perspective. What makes it flavorful is that tone and setting! I’m sure they will add some more depth to next season, especially because I believe the creators hearts are in the right place.

the show has so many memorable moments. For me one of the best scenes is at the radio station. Everything about this scene is perfect. The conversation before the shooting, the arrow, the whistling when he took a breath and of course "I should never have trusted a doctor who smelled like that." Maybe best line in the show. Well you want to make my cock explode now is truely the best.
@theburrowmedia5 ай бұрын
The radio station was a very clever scene. I’m hoping they really expand on these moments next season and take their time with each moment. Holding a frame for a little bit longer isn’t a bad thing.

Its not the dump release that bothers me its that there were only 8 episodes lol. I read that there were 2 theories for the dump release. 1: Jon Nolan got burned on Westworld considering how fans would create their own theories on what was happening and when the next episodes indicated a different direction, he got a lot of hate for it when it was different from the fan's theories. and 2: Amazon and Bethesda weren't sure about the show's reception considering Amazon's prior history of adaptations (Rings of Power anyone?), and Todd Howard just wasn't sure regarding whether it would capture the game world well enough (You can see in the video of IGN Telling Todd to his face that they gave it a 9 and it blew Todd away)
@theburrowmedia5 ай бұрын
Todd definitely should be more skeptical to reception. “It just works.” I am hoping they course correct both # of episodes and weekly releases for next season. It just gets exhausting trying to keep up with interesting projects.

A dead supermutant was seen in the enclave, and the whole "why" of the Shady Sands destruction was explained in the show, and as for the timeline, it got destroyed at an unspecified date after the events of New Vegas, which was explained by Nolan and Todd Howard. There's more to the Shady Sands thing. It explains why after all these years, civilization has failed to get reestablished. It otherwise makes no sense why everything still is the way it is after all this time. Show: 2296 New Vegas: 2281

It was incredible. I’ve only had two cinema experiences in recent memory where everything else outside simply melted away and you were lost in the story in front of you. That was Interstellar and Dune Part 2. The sheer pace of the plot and the weight of the character development wrapped in cinematography platinum gold leaf was just an exquisite feast for the senses. I’m just sad I can’t experience that first watch feeling again for this movie and I will likely be waiting 3-5 years for Dune Messiah. So worth the wait! What a ride!

The fact that everyone is acting like a normal rom com is disturbing to say the least and if you are part of the ithe fold. You know this is the story of Lilith. The satanic deity that feminists worship. Hollywood not fooling nobody.

I think you may need to work on separating reality from fiction a little more; we don’t live in a theocracy. Not every male character in the movie was a misogynist-it’s dangerous to generalize. You have a right to your opinion, but I’m telling you this whole discussion is silly. Say you don’t like the movie (but give practical examples in lieu of broad shame), dislike the video, and move on.
