I just installed the latest Moza software, then in the RallySimFans launcher I went to "Controls" and selected Moza, then "Activate" which loads a reg file.

Old Xbox 360 controller when I recorded this. Some in-game filters help with the sudden turns you get with a short analogue stick, but I upgraded to a Moza R5 wheel recently so I'm doing every stage again. Took a while to adjust to the wheel's much larger range of movement. Getting the hang of it now.

That might explain why it's excluded from online rally competitions. I'll have to set RBR up on a weak PC/laptop and see how bad it can be. Runs OK on an AMD 2400G, but I've got an older laptop so I'll try it on that.

Dirt Rally (1) was my main game for years on my potato of a PC, but RBR blew me away with it's massive stage list since last September. Got a better PC around Oct/Nov so I'm replaying Dirt 1+2 and some WRCs just to enjoy the graphics.

I'm new to the RallySimFans version of this game (6 months?) but I've counted 513 stages, including SS Zlin which just got released. I made a playlist of stages that were new in 2023, and it came to 30 😯, not including SS Zlin which I'm calling a 2024 stage because that's when we all got to use it for free. There's a track building tutorial made by @VideoVertigo here on KZbin. I really would like to make a stage based on the area I live in, but it's difficult work in Blender 3D app. I might just start with a tarmac square to learn things.🤣
@Scumbagius11 ай бұрын
@infinitenumberofrats tarmac appears to be the beginner or entry level track user make. I agree with the statement. If I had more time I'd take a go at at least making some kind of looping stage like a super special..

@@Scumbagius Good tutorial here. The finished track being made was in the last RallySimFans update, if that's the version you're using. Simple figure 8, but covers all the basics. kzbin.info/aero/PLDDTHQ1kVen6SBt27tmBETMDqfhm7ftl3

The title is "La Queue de Torture". I'm pretty sure it means "torture" and not "turtle". Also, my name is spelt Chelsom. Other than that I'm grateful for your comments! Thank you!

I think he's quite right about the turtle, but obviously not about your name. 😅 If you are the real Peter Chelsom, I want to tell you that I love this film very much. You've managed a (sadly unrecognized) masterpiece. ❤

Amended, thanks. Track listings do say "Torture".
@infinitenumberofrats Жыл бұрын
@@mirkoeinhorn09 I checked track listings and "torture" it is. Just a super-massive coincidence that there's a bayou called "Queue de Tortue". Such a big coincidence that I wonder if the song is an oblique reference to it, like the bayou is "torture" to navigate or something? Either way, corrected now.
@mirkoeinhorn09 Жыл бұрын
You only have to enter the title here on KZbin to realize that it is undoubtedly Nathan Abshire's version of the Bayun classic "Queue de Tortue". So the name in the track listing is either a mistake or a joke. But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong. 😅
@infinitenumberofrats Жыл бұрын
@@mirkoeinhorn09 Good call. Yes. I'm thinking me and Peter have both read mis-spellings of the title. I'm going to re-insert the reference to the bayou. Thanks.

Got a bit more time now I'm back from an obviously much needed trip to the opticians. Uncanny that a simple missing 'r' should produce a search result naming an actual bayou in Nathan Abshire's neck of the woods. I google-translated the proper spelling and it comes out "the tail of torture" which is a bit difficult to comprehend in English. I was expecting something like "a tortuous route" but no "tail" (not "tale") it is. Once again, thanks for A: The horses moth information, and B: The film. It's been in equal first place with all my favourite movies since I first saw it.
@infinitenumberofrats Жыл бұрын
Turns out the title (as listed on various track listings) may either be wrong, or a humorous take on the original. The song is definitely named after the bayou when played and sung by other Bayun musicians. It might take some digging to see if the spelling change was deliberate or erroneous. If I find a definitive explanation, I'll edit the description again.

BTW: Our pigs always get separated into different sleeping quarters if they fight (three males). They, (and Hunny Bunny the rabbit) spent/spend their days roaming free in a large garden, where they can claim a large territory each. Anybody who ever kept a pig permanently in such confined space, would of course be a complete dingus. :)
