It's multiple layers of a distorted 909 kick with different layers of distortion and EQ. This is then pitched (Adobe Audition in this case) to match the bassline.

There is probably a more modern plugin but for checking pitch of samples and stuff I use GTune. Most of the things I do by ear but sometimes when it sounds "messy" I use GTune to make sure I'm right.

Oh and when pitching hardstyle kicks you need to make sure that you split the tail from the punch and only pitch the tail. You want the punch to stay the same.

This is the intro of the original track by darren styles, I have a hard copy (dvd) of that album and I layered it with my own sounds. The vocals and piano are his, the rest is what I added.

Thanks! I made it in FL Studio, I remade the original melodies by ear & then took those melodies and added them into a hardstyle track.
