@@airforcex9412 I’ve had that problem a few times and have managed to fix it by force closing the app, rebooting the Sonos, as well as the internet. Sometimes a few times! I hope it resolves itself 🤞

@@omayrazermeno6119 I’m so glad it helped! The ‘Local Network’ switch has caught out a lot of people. For some it switched off after an update.

Try removing your Apple Music from the Sonos app, then add it back in again. If this doesn’t work try playing directly from the Apple Music app using AirPlay. This should also work for KZbin music.

@@Tru4Life older Sonos devices didn’t have AirPlay. e.g. The Play 1 doesn’t where the ‘One’ does. Same with the Play 5 doesn’t and the ‘Five’ does. Ditto Connect Amp verses Amp. This link shows AirPlay compatibility: support.sonos.com/en-au/article/stream-airplay-audio-to-sonos

@@guyderrien8716 I’m assuming you have a Sonos Sub? Try factory resetting, to do this, remove power, press the button on the front of the Sub and keep it held in as you put the power back on. Keep the button held in until you see a flashing orange light. You can now add the Sub back in as a new product. I hope this helps.

@@mclaughlinmac7241 there must be a reason for this. Either your Sonos speakers are models made prior to AirPlay 2 compatibility, e.g. a ‘Play 1’ rather than a ‘One’ or the settings on the Mac have disabled AirPlay. Happy to help solve this - what Sonos devices do you have?

This feature wasn't really effected by the recent Sonos app update so it may be something else. To fix, use the Sonos app and check you have the latest software and also make sure 'Update Automatically' is on. If this doesn't solve the problem, try switching off (remove the power) from all of your Sonos devices, then also power down your internet and any Wi-Fi access points. It makes no difference which order you switch everything off - but switch back on in this order: 1) Modem on and wiat for it to be back online. 2) Power on any Wi-Fi access points and wait for them to be working normally. 3) If you have any Sonos devices connected by ethernet cable, switch these on first and wait for them to be working. 4) Switch on all remoning Sonos devices. You can then try to play music direct from your Spotify app - hopefully it is working again :)

@@Furry__ yes absolutely, this should work well with the Play 1 and I’ve not had an issue with this feature, even after the new app was launched. If it isn’t working make sure both the Sonos app and the Play 1’s software is up to date. Keep in mind the Play 1 and the ‘One’ are different. Both will work with Spotify speaker connect, but the ‘One’ is compatible with Apple AirPlay where the Play 1 isn’t.

Yes the new app certainly has created a few problems! I have had issues with playing Spotify from within the Sonos app, but so far no problems playing direct from Spotify. Try powering off all of your Sonos devices and also go to the Sonos app and make sure the software is up to date, then try again. It should work…. hopefully.

Hi, yes it looks as if they have removed the local library from the new app - for the time being. There is a rumour that the function will make a return later this month. Let’s hope so! In the meantime you should be able to access your local library by using the desktop app on your computer. If you don’t have it you can download from sonos.com from the Support tab. Another option is to use Plex if you have your music on a NAS. If you have your music on the Apple Music app (iTunes) on your iPhone, you can AirPlay direct to the speaker, so long as it’s a more recent AirPlay compatible Sonos speaker.

@@TechWithTonyAustralia i am using plex, then accessing plex with the sonos app. We have had alot of storms lately, and this method does not work without internet. But i went with sonos because of the library feature

@@TechWithTonyAustralia It looks like they were wrong. It's two months later and it looks like I still don't see a way to to stream directly from the Sonos app on the iPhone to the Sonos speakers. I also am unable to add the music folder on my Mac to Sonos. I get error number 1002.

Yes you are exactly right, if you select AirPlay first then the music will play to the Sonos speaker straight away. Also, many don't relaise you can use Sonos speakers without using the Sonos app. My videos are intended for people who aren't tech savvy or are new to a particular device. Hi, The Apple TV search should search most apps if you use the Siri search or the Search app (grey app). Don't use the search within other apps unless you want to search this app only. After searching, make sure you move down to the 'How to watch' line which should show all apps the movie or TV series is available. I hope this helps.

@@TechWithTonyAustralia yeah i’m doing exactly the same i tried the siri search and the grey search app from both i’m unable to find content for example if i ask siri ‘ squid games ‘ then siri says i’m can’t help you with that one and if a search this in search app it also not showing the show

I have just tried the same search for 'Squid Games' and my Apple TV found this title availabe on Netflix. Check the settings on your Apple TV and make sure the 'Location Services' are turned on. To do this, go to the Settings app, then 'General', then 'Privacy & Security', then 'Location Services'. Once you are here make sure 'Location Services' are set to 'On', as well as 'Siri and Dication' are set to 'While Using The App'. I hope this resolves the problem. If this does not work I can reccomend the 'Just Watch' app, this app works well for movie and TV searching. It is availabe from the Apple TV App Store, but I find the Just Watch app works better on a phone or tablet. @@jatanaharman
