AMAZING QUICKSTEP, I do Ballroom and Latin dancing and that looked amazing. Sad this only has 888 likes so far but I'll make that 889 for you, Quickstep is probably my favorite Ballroom dance. (Edit: At least the likes are in the hundreds)

The music is fantastic. Ask the couples who actually dance there. iF you can watch to the end of the major finals and see the best couples on earth clapping the musicians. Middle aged and older professional group? What are you talking about.

@@derekrigby6726 I mildly disagree, with respect to the British Open, which is in a different ballroom and has live music. The music is great at the beginning of the evening, but by the end of the evening, for the final, the musicians are quite tired.

Absolutely! ;) all the skills come with the bottle. ;) but in all seriousness. It’s a pro secret. If you watch a pro final and look at the color underneath each dancers shoe at a major event. Everyone uses sometime of grip.

Floorcraft leaves a lot to be desired. One couple didn’t even start before anyone else, and then he ran into another couple straight away. I guarantee all the adjudicators would have seen that, it’s a big floor for goodness sake 🤷♀️

Who on earth picked the music for the Viennese waltz? It was awful, nothing strict tempo about it at all. Much better tunes to dance to, than that one, despite it being an Elvis hit. This was my practice ballroom, I used to live just up the road from it, that and the Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens, both equidistant. We took it all for granted, as having a huge floor was normal for us. Even at professional level some of the floor-craft leaves lot to be desired.
