DO NOT even try this. Just buy the whole actuator. I just had one of the worst experiences of my life trying this. If ANY of those tiny pieces or gears move out of place you’re as good as f&$cked. Finally got it back together after hours and the motor spins the wrong way so locking the doors unlocks this door and vice versa.

@@danielscustoms13 Mine was used unit. Same 121-1 code after replacement. Could it be the harness/ contact problem, or the used module is broken too? Both modules are about 17 years old. Tried to reset with 4-9 jumper - no good.

Sorry, I don't speak Spanish, I have a 2012 Elantra with around 93,000 miles on it that has a P0016 code. I've swapped the cam shaft sensors around in their positions & cleared the code, but when it comes back it's still referencing "sensor A"(no change), so I assume that the problem probably isn't one of those sensors? I could get that you found an incorrect correlation between the cam & the crank with the O-scope, but didn't understand what your conclusion was. Does this this mean it is an actual, physical timing issue in your case? Thanks
@danielscustoms13
@danielscustoms13 22 күн бұрын
The most common issue on this kind of vehicles is the timing and the solenoids actuators, I recommend you to check first the actuator solenoid with 12v and ground and check if make noise when you apply the voltage, if everything is ok just replace the timing chain and components

I have the same problem with a honda civic si 2012, i been trying to fix it for a year now., I found the same broken wire and same error code with alldata saying no connection to the sensor, I bought a new sensor and i reattached the spliced wires again, but my light is still there, I sent to reset the SRS Module two times already and the Light is still on. My car was hit only on the left side and only that wire broke and ever since then the SRS Light is on.
@danielscustoms13
@danielscustoms13 24 күн бұрын
Sounds like the wire harness has the electrical problem, check the harness with continuity and resistance to the ground from the sensor connector to the SRS module !! 👍🏼
@johnglez6271
@johnglez6271 18 күн бұрын
@@danielscustoms13it wasn't one or the other, the harness was perfect, I tested continuity between the module and the sensor and it was there, bought two new sensors and the light still came on, on your video you just put together the two cables, I used butt splicer to join my wires but still the light was on, apparently these module will sense the smallest resistance between connections, so my last resort was to take apart the plug and drive the wires straight to the connector, and it worked, so if anyone is going through the same problem a spliced wired will throw the code even if you fix it in most ocations, also the sensors need to be the same models, becaise the computer will read a 100ohm difference. So thanks for your response and your video was helpful to determine that no hard codes are stores for spliced wires.

Recall on those engines due to excessive metal shavings left inside the engine blocks during manufacturing the engines. All you have to do is search for the Kia/Hyundai recall on google.
