I am headed to Japan next week (8 days based in Kyoto, 2nd half 9 days based in Akihab) and was wondering if there are any locally owned card shops you would recommend for loose/bulk pokemon cards instead of the more chain branches. Day trips are fine also.

Japanese is just way more detailed with quality, loving the slab design too. Also love how they focus on the card with card on top, grading is just a plus and the grading is on the back make you focus on the card when looking at the front! The card is also very well sealed, it doesn't shake around like sloppy psa. With all the 🗑️scammers doing PSA, ARS is my way to go!!

yeah, U.S. customs is super lenient. I was able to import $1300 worth of cards with no fee or anything. They just let it go through lol
