No,autism is worse than being gay. Gays get accepted once they turn into adults. As you get older with autism,you realize how much society hates you..even other minorities hate you. It’s more acceptable to shit on special needs people than to shit on gay people. I’m autistic and I don’t wish this on anyone. Everyday living with autism is like fighting an endless suicide self hatred battle.

This saved me. My son also lied and I couldnt understand why. His father did alienated me and his siblings. My son went into drugs when he moved to his father. They Were the ones Who took him in, thanks to alot of bullying and No frie nds. In mai my son took his own life and I cant get peace.

Omg we could have a blast together with our impressions and accents I got so many 😃. In seconds I'll talk like where I am unknowingly after hearing it. I think this ability usually is accompanied by a quick wit for us. Cheers mate my

I married my husband because I thought he was the most honest person I had ever met. It turns out that he is undoubtedly the most dishonest person I have ever known. He will say absolutely anything to keep from incriminating himself, and that seems to be more important to him than a closeness and a trust between us. He's an Aspie, but I didn't know it when I married him. Anyone (NT included) can be a liar, but the "constant denier" is the worst kind of liar. It's a sickness and obliterates relationships.

Some Aspies are for sure pathological liers . I know one , lies about everything. He recently had a mental breakdown and I’m not surprised with the amount of people who have bailed on him and left him . But he also stole from me and when I confronted him I got angry/aggressive with him and completely turned it on me as if I was being paranoid. Nuts! 🙉

It's crazy how I'm usually way too honest, like you said over sharing, complete truth even when you can save yourself time and hassle with white lies. But I'm also pretty alright at lying when I do for whatever reason.

I always thought that autistic people were all honest and not capable of lying like neurotipical people do. I used to be close friends with an autistic girl, and many years later I found out that she destroyed a really good friendship I had with another girl with a bunch of fucked up lies. It was quite shocking to me that the friendship she formed with me was based on a bunch of lies and toxicity. That was the most bizarre friendship I've ever had!!

Serious question - is Asperger's Syndrome still a "thing."
@Dhomazhir3 жыл бұрын
Yes. It is a subset of Autism Spectrum Disorder. No good scientific reason given by the Psychiatric Community last I looked though.

I took that test, but it said the scores could not given at this time. But I scored a 40. I always score high on every test like those that I take. But the local mental health place says they can't test me at the moment due to "virus". That's just BS...
@Dhomazhir3 жыл бұрын
So you want the local Mental Health place during a pandemic to expose themselves, and by proxy thousands of others, to a potentially deadly or disabling disease for a non-critical issue just so you feel better. You hear yourself right?

THANK YOU for admitting this! My mother, partners and friends I've known with autism ALL have lied and about big things, not just small insignificant things. Feels soooo good to be validated in this bc lies hurt. Thank you, thank you, thank you! <3 I know it must have been hard to admit for you but this really helped me.

I'm an aspie, and I'll tell you, I can relate to everything you said. Divorced parents, dysfonctional families, familly members IN NAME ONLY. I too have been in a spiritual journey to reconnect to my true self for the past six years. If it wasn't for the pandemic, I would've succeeded by now! It has slowed down my progress (I started training in jiu-jitsu late last year, but then the lockdown happened, so I haven't been able to go train since then 😠)!

hmm my exes couldn't handle my honesty :/ I did learn tact and white lies and fully understand making people comfortable now but I like to give people the choice if they ask me a question. However I also know if it's a matter of opinion i use my words carefully because it's just that AN OPINION. what I say isn't anymore true or false than the other persons view when it comes to emotion or perception so I can only say so much. If it's really really obviously a lie with no remorse though I find it's better to be honest that's more beneficial for everybody
@vvelvettearss4 жыл бұрын
watching the video I realised that I am capable of lying and manipulation if I want to my humour /sarcasm is very deadpan so people tend to believe me fully until I laugh and tell them. unless they know me very well I think this fools...enough people and it makes a but uncomfortable to know I'm capable of minor deception. when it comes to deeper conversation a that is ALWAYS hard. Some times best to leave things our cuz it's the past anyway. was a great video Sean thanks !

My test results 32 in asperger quotient 12 in empathy 13/20 in facial recognition Actually I wouldn't feel bothered if a specialist confirmed it, it would feel very nice to know that there's nothing wrong with me, my brain is just wired differently

My dad was Aspie, and he would lie, but mostly it was to get out of trouble, or to get attention. But he was not very good at it. One thing he could not lie about was just to be polite to someone.

Gay people had a rights movement going back several decades. They stopped being a DSM disorder in 1974. We're still stuck with Autism Speaks, cure culture, and conversion therapy (ABA). It's like we're living the 1950's still when it comes to autism.
