I used to live in Pacifica when it was called Sharp Park in the mid-to-late 1950s. I lived at 115 Paloma and went to the elementary school one block away. My dad was in the Navy and worked at Treasure Island, San Fran. I remember the "castle" up the hill east of Rte 1. Went fishing very, very often when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Great memories and thanks for making and posting this video.

I grew up in Pacifica from 1961 to 1977 ....I enjoyed those vintage photos of my childhood home! I lived in Pacific Manor and went to Oceana High School and I was there to see Pacifica Pier go up, and my mom was a “Rosie The Riveter” who made the Navy Ship that drifted ashore to Sharp Park Beach...oh the memories!💕👍🏻👏🏻

I can't how touching this was to me. This little town gave us kids the first feel of , hope and normalcy in our lives. I didn't get to Finnish school there , but always considered myself, Oceana, class of 75.god bless you and your family and hope that dreams come true.

Lorrie Milton .. Hi lorrie , actually my mom's boyfriend was Dave clouse. My family loved him so much THEY changed their last name to clouse . I didn't though .I worked for Dave for yrs. We were very good friends. Broke my heart when I'd found out he passed away. He had a very gentle spirit. And treated me like his best friend. Loved him alot.

Wow I was just thinking about Seavue Theater the other day while I was shopping at the Walgreens that is now in it's place. I grew up going to that theater. It is where I saw LOTR and the crappier Star Wars movies (1,2,3) when they came out when I was younger. I miss that place.

In the early fifties I lived far up the canyon on what was then called Monterres Terrace (now Canyon Drive) beyond the reacreation center. My childhood buds were Frank Rhodes, Tom Hawkes, Allen Jones, Jimmy Crowder, David Carol, Danny Augustine and Floyd Morris. Frank and his younger brother Doug lived on Paloma. I guess you lived close to Anderson's store and Landi's Super Market. I remember Landi's gave us kids free Elvis pictures when they opened up. My father, known to most as Jack Risinger, was in the Navy as well.

Thanks for the sunset at the very end. Miss them so much. Used to watch them every night (when there wasn't any fog LOL) on the beach, by the Post Office. After a long hard day at work, it was the perfect way to unwind & relax. Sucks that my GF wasn't willing to move up here from LA area.

I grew up on the Sharp Park Rifel Range. My grandparents "Ma ~&~ Pa Jones were the range masters. My Dad and Aunte even worked there. I graduated from Oceana, we lived in Manor. My daughter graduated from Terra Nova. We lived in Colma, I did'nt want her in Jefferson and I fought with the school board to get her into Terra Nova. It was the most beautiful commute which made up for all the driving. Now I look back and Im so glad I put her there. We are Pacifica natives going way back in generations. I live up North in Sonoma County now and I miss home so much. ~Kim
