So, if I understand this right, we're going to live longer to work longer. That does not seem like a good incentive. I do a lot of this because it seems like longevity runs on both sides of my family even with health issues. If I'm likely to live a long time, I don't want to be miserable, but I don't want to work until I'm 80 either.

You should probably mention that it's only low dose statin that looked protective. Doses higher than 10mg were associated with a 3 times increased risk of osteoporosis.
