Forgot to comment a few things a while back so, here: 1. The Katy Pacifics look awesome pulling freight, kinda like the Southern Pacific's 4-6-2s. 2. I have finished making a video showing my o scale pacific being Kitbashed as an M-K-T pacific! *It'll be up either later tonight or tomorrow morning.*

1:08 fun fact about Missouri Kansas Texas H-3a pacific 383: *towards the end of steam on The Texas Special passenger train, it was the usual engine to pull the train to San Antonio Texas.* It says it on the Wikipedia page about The Texas Special if you're curious.

The gentleman placing the orders at 2:49 is agent and first trick operator Andy Adams. If I recall correctly, train orders were used until December 1988 when they were replaced with TWC.

This video evoked a flood of memories. We've lost so much - train orders, depots, the caboose, train order board blinking red signal (the operator has train orders to hand up), and we finally lost the railroad. I suppose we never know how much we have until we don't have it anymore. Thanks for posting this video.

The Katy depot had the same fate as the MoPac depot in Taylor. Union Pacific demolished is in 1995 and where it sat there nothing but an empty lot. The I&GN Depot that Missouri pacific had was also demolished in the 80’s but was replaced with the brick building that is still there today.
