but if my pokemon need 2 fire energy, I attached 1 basic fire energy card, can i attach the gift energy instead of a fire energy card?

Hey Kal here from my personal account! Sorry for the late reply! A gift energy card CANNOT replace a fire energy requirement. As with all types of special energy cards, specific rules apply (see card text). If you read the text, it says that gift energy card provides 1x colorless energy (star on white background). Colorless energy provides colorless energy only, and cannot provide a specific type of energy like fire/psychic/water/grass/etc. Only a fire energy card can satisfy a fire energy requirement. Hope that helps!

Card advantage doesn't mean that much in pokemon as in yugioh. There are cards in pokemon which let you draw 6,7,8 cards with basically no cost at all. As you're heavily limited with what you can do this doesn't become a problem. Yugioh on the other hand is veeery different. Having card advantage there is basically like an insta win. On top of that you have a main phase 2. So you can do stuff after you attack. You can only attack once per turn in pokemon and in yugioh there are decks like tenpai which kill you in one single battle Phase by attacking with 10 monsters 😂 Sooo completely different. There are pokemon decks which kill fast but yugioh is tremendously faster then pokemon

So… let’s say your burned. I know you said you can flip a coin to see if the burn resolved itself, but does the damage come before or after the coin flip? Also, does the coin flip apply to all four status conditions? I know paralysis resolves itself at the end of the players turn.
