Here some tips to improve your compositions: Harmony: I hightly recommend you to learn chords. Start by learning the 4 basic chords: major, minor, diminished, augmented. Melody: Try to avoid repetitions and very basic patterns (e.g. two notes repeating)! The more variation, the better (in my opinion). Rhythm: Try to create more variations and avoid repetition. I think the most important thing here that will greatly improve your compositions is chords! Chords are magical!
