Hello from USA Do you guys not know how to open a chips bag? You are supposed to hold each sleeve in each hand and separate it from each other . No tearing . That way the bag stays intact. No wonder US has directions for everything in the packages. I won’t be surprised now if I see instructions on potato chips bag as to how to open it. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that people wouldn’t know how to open a chip bag.

Ya pringle is technically not a potato chip like a potato is not fried directly. Its potato mixed with flour. more like an extruted (shaped) snack

The air in the packets is to protect the chips from getting crushed into small pieces and retain their full shape. There is no air in Pringles and similar cans because they obviously have hard covering so there's no harm to the chips from external pressure. They do charge mostly for the tin can is what I feel !
