Respectfully clapping for bo nickal's perfomance is crazy He talks about beating chimaev and struggeled against paul craig also his perfomance was awful
@TheHardcoreandtheCasual2 күн бұрын
Paul Craig is a much different fighter. He is the most dangerous guy on the ground. He’s subbed the entire top 5 at LHW. Why would Bo go to the ground. And also Bo has only been training his striking for 2 years and he beat a 12 year veteran on the feet. I know Craig isn’t a good striker by any means but to be good enough in 2 years to beat a guy who’s been training for 12 is impressive. He also didn’t look terrible tho. It was underwhelming but not terrible. He’s definitely not ready yet for the top of the weight class but come on. He could probably smoke half the top 15 with just ground game. Damian Maia fought for a title with terrible stand up khabib was undefeated and belal is literally a champion rn. So Bo can definitely make it to a title with just a ground game.

Middleweight does have a lot of killers. Best middleweight top 15 we have had in a long time. We will see how he does. Never underestimate a real wrestler tho. CCC, DC, Matt Hughes, Couture, Chael, Usman, Hendricks, weidman, Mendez all came up through the same system that built Bo Nickal to be in the top 30 college wrestlers of all time above all these guys. Only MMA fighter above him was Ben Askren. And Ben askren striking always sucked, much worse the Bo’s, and even he ended his career 19-2😂. Bo’s got so much potential

@@TheHardcoreandtheCasualright because him accepting the fight the UFC made first then injuring himself in training camp thus setting up Tom for an interim title and then returning from said injury and fighting the fight that was already signed and against the HW goat despite the layoff is ducking, now if he decides not to unify the belt now after the stipe fight then that would be ducking. However Tom is no different at this stage of his career then Reyes was other than the interim belt. Jones isn’t afraid of anyone he’s at a stage tho in his career that if he chooses to not fight someone just because he doesn’t like them he almost can. That said as someone who’s watched this sport since it was on Spike TV I’ll never bet against Jones.
@TheHardcoreandtheCasualКүн бұрын
Time catches up to everyone. If you think jones is the exception then you are kidding yourself. He’s clearly not as fast or agile anymore. He was fighting someone slower and less agile which made him look better by comparison. And yes. Yes Jon is ducking Tom rn. He’s doing the same thing Francis did “ pay me more or I’ll walk” and we all gave him shit for doing that 2 years ago to. GSP did the same thing after beating bisping and Dana game him shit for that to. Everyone gives khabib shit for retiring to early. Jon is not above all that. No one is. This is a sport. It’s not WWE. Imagine if the chiefs last week were 9-0 and said “we will not be playing the bills because they haven’t done enough to earn a shot at beating us.” That would be Ridiculous. Stop making a mockery of this sport. It’s not wwe. In the ufc the best fight the best and that’s all there is to it. It’s. A. Sport.

@@TheHardcoreandtheCasual Well the people you named are pretty universally loved and considered the best of their time lol. And of course he's not as fast, he's gained 40 pounds. He looked pretty great against Gane who was at his physical peak. Francis didn't need to prove himself. GSP beat everyone. Khabib beat everyone. Jon has beaten everyone in two divisions, and there is only two fights for him, which is looking likely we'll get at least one of those. Whether it be Alex or Tom. I just don't get the hate around dudes wanting to get paid for potentially life-altering fights. You got NBA players making 50 million dollars a year to dribble a ball. These guys are trying to kill each other and would be lucky to make 1/50th of that. I hope fighters like Jon force a change in the UFC payroll
@TheHardcoreandtheCasual13 сағат бұрын
Time heals all wounds. In 5 years everyone will forget about all of Jon’s flaws. As most already have. But gane was a good stylistic matchup for Jon. I’d compare it to khabib returning today but up at welterweight and fighting Leon or Garry or some striker with no ground game. Basically what I’m saying is Gane might be the worst top 10 heavyweight at wrestling. And also Tom is 15 pounds heavier and moves twice as fast so Jon is basically just slow now. Stripes just gotten even slower by comparison

Pereira doesn't need to prove anything else, this guy broke Rousey's record, defended the belt 3 times in 175 days, tied with DC in defenses, beat Izzy 3 times, beat Blachowicz... something Izzy couldn't do , he is a two-time Glória champion, two-time UFC champion and will be able to try for the unprecedented third belt, something that no other fighter has achieved, since Alex is a genetic freak and has the ability to compete in 3 categories, and all the fighters surrendered to him , ankalaev is not from Khabib's family, his base is being a Striker, and he had his legs fucked by blachowicz, imagine Pereira's kicks, so the community has no doubt that Alex is already in the top 10 of the greatest, and if he get the third belt... so he's the goat, to the despair of his gratuitous haters, a guy who doesn't humiliate anyone, has had a difficult life, and is saving Dana on PPV.
@TheHardcoreandtheCasualАй бұрын
And all that without ever fighting a wrestler 😂. By your logic O’Malley and Leon should have never fought merab and belal because they had nothing to prove. They didn’t need to prove they are well rounded mma fighters. Even tho the whole point of mma is to prove you can beat a mix of all styles. Oh and DCs 3 title defenses were against more impressive contenders. If you don’t beat or even fight a wrestler it is impossible to be considered a goat. O’Malley atleast beat sterling (a wrestler) and Leon beat Usman twice (a wrestler) and Colby (a wrestler). So honestly they are both better MMA fighters than Alex until he proves he can do the same.

Basically… My whole point is he was a 2 division glory kickboxing world champ. And now he is fighting WORSE strikers then he did in glory. Of course he’s gonna win against people who aren’t as good as the guys he’s already beaten. The point of MMA is that you aren’t just gonna fight kickboxers. It’s literally the same thing as DC wrestling in the Olympics and then going to a high school and wrestling the 18 year old wrestling team. Of course he’s gonna win. Hill, Jiri and Khalil are not Glory level kickboxers. So he hasn’t proven anything in mma
@BJF99Ай бұрын
@@TheHardcoreandtheCasual their problem is that they want to prove themselves against Pereira, they have no chance of exchanging with the best striker, if Ankalaev, who is a striker... tries to test himself against Pereira in striking and loses without using wrestling, you will say the same thing? It's not Pereira's fault if these idiots don't submit him, Aspinall and Blades are the only ones who know about this risk, and they said they're going to take him down... but you only saw Pereira on the ground a year ago against Blachowicz, he was still new to the UFC and was focused on the base, Glover is his black belt trainer, what if Pereira has a secret weapon in jiu-jitsu? So you can't guarantee victory over opponents who use grapplers without making sure that Pereira doesn't really train hidden jiu-jitsu as an element of surprise, it's not just about taking him down and claiming victory with his soft body cooking the fight. , Anderson Silva submitted Sonnen in the last round, Sonnen didn't expect to receive that, so don't think that just because Pereira wasn't knocked down he will be the same rookie when he arrived, and the fight starts standing up, think about Masvidal x Ben before betting your money, because Pereira's IQ is absurd.
@TheHardcoreandtheCasualАй бұрын
You have just proven my point. Thank you. He still has to prove he has “hidden jujutsu” until he shows it, it is more reasonable to assume he doesn’t. Everyone trains with world class grapplers. That doesn’t make them that level. O’Malley and Leon definitely were also training with world class grapplers. And look what happened to them. So yes. Alex still has to prove it. Think about everything goat in mma. They have all shown they are well rounded. Jones took down DC and Knocked down lyoto, GSP 80 takedowns in his career and a karate background, Silva submitted Chael and beat Maia and obviously had great striking, Johnson grappled with CCC and obviously had great striking, Aldo has the best takedown defense ever and obviously great striking, DC Olympic wrestler and KOed stipe. Stipe had wrestling pedigree and was a KO artist…. Name a Goat who is as 1 dimensional as Alex. You literally can’t. Every GOAT MUST BE well rounded to be considered a Goat.
@tiagolima7844Ай бұрын
''If that's a 3 round fight he wins'' right.. except if it's a 3 round fight, Alex would have prepared a strategy for 3 rounds and the fight would've been different. He prepared for a 5 round fight, Kalil went about it as if it was a 3 rounder. The pace he had for the first 2 rounds was completely unsustainable for 5 rounds and that cost him. It only showed his lack of preparedness for a championship fight. The better fighter won.

I agree with all of what you said. Only thing to keep in mind is that the fight was in Salt Lake City which is known to take a lot out of certain people with the thinner air.
