I'm going to tell everybody right now who is considering joining the Navy or any other branch of service for that matter...... DO NOT LEAVE!!!! I shipped off 20JUN24 and i went into SEPS (aka Separations) because i got cold feet to put it simply..... biggest mistake of my life. I regret it every single day. However if you end up in SEPS for another reason (Mental Health, Legal or medical) its not like what your RDC tells you. it's not that bad. I had a lot of fun there and ended up meeting some of the best brothers and sisters I'd ever know. But, I just made the decision to go back to training a month or 2 ago and after talking to a recruiter i found out I am pregnant..... I am 18 and married but not ready to have a baby. I want to go to the Navy and finish what I started. I had a good job for Air Traffic Control and I cannot stress it enough DO NOT GIVE UP!!! Like she said you are there for a reason, stay strong and don't give up. push through it and reaffirm yourself everyday. Go to church on Sunday's if it helps you but just don't give up!!

I have two kids who both left on 9/30 they are both on ship 11 div 390. They graduate on 12/12. I'm so excited for them. They both seem to enjoy it. They love the 3 meals a day like clockwork lol my daughter is a YM. I could hear the transformation in their voices already 🙌🏾 I braided her hair before she left and asked her how’s her hair holding up. She said she met two nice Jamaican girls, and they do each other’s hair every Sunday. I thought that was nice. My son, was a bit shy initially and now I’m hearing he’s opening up a lot. He said the confidence chamber wasn’t so bad. I remember before he left I would send him pictures when he and his siblings were younger and he told me” enough with the pictures mother.” I was a little apprehensive on sending him pictures while in there via the Sandbox App. I asked him if there any pictures he didn’t want? He responded with “Mother you can send me any pictures you want.”lol he requested for me to send him the Maze Runner series. He did say he was tired of people being sick in there. Ohh and when they got their first call my daughter was crying, because she misses home. I told her to tighten up, and don’t let them see you sweat and that I was super proud of her. I was crying in the inside, but I didn’t want her to hear me crying because I didn’t want her to worry about me. The second call was she and my son were very spry 😁

Quick question, I know you mentioned that you had to change out of everything civilian. For females can you still wear bras that you bring?

My job was MAA in bootcamp got tested all the time. No one listened to leadership. I tried other ways to communicate in which in the end I had respect from a lot of my peers. Currently in A-School Pensacola graduate on the 31st Halloween.

I remember when I was in boot camp at Great lakes and we were having a locker inspection.An the CC found a small jar of Vaseline which I had purchased at the commissary there on base.Black people use it for our skin, hair and lips, ohhh but the CC called me front and center and screamed at me WHO DO YOU PLAN ON ---- IN HERE and messed with me through out boot camp.I had to have a black chaplain explain to him why i had it.
