I agree that forgiveness is for/more beneficial to the victim than the abuser. However, ppl are forgetting that FL was an abandoned child for 15 years. She finally reunites with her biological family only to spend the next 3 years emotionally & physically abandoned by them (even though living under the same roof) as well as being physically abused. As someone who actually lived that experience, I am here to tell you that forgiveness is not easy, especially when all your attempts at reconciliation are rebuffed at every turn. And every incident of rejection is a new knife wound to the heart. Eventually, that heart is covered with calloused scars that hopefully provide a protective shell from further abuse. People asking her to forgive her biological family need understand that she cannot trust them/their words for even one second. The best form of protection she has to distance - phyically & emotionally. And that's what she did. This is the reason she cannot forgive them bc forgiveness means a softening of the heart. Softening a wounded heart means making yourself more vulnerable to new wounds. Please note that she is very open, very loving, & very trusting towards those who love & care for her unconditionally. She'll be fine!

I appreciate the realism of this version of the story. FL never became truly heartless. She spoke cruel words out of spite, but deep down still cared about her biological family. It's not easy to cut ties and I feel this drama showed that well. The way it ended, I feel that with enough time and earnest effort from the family, they could all be on speaking terms again. Not a loving family like FL wanted, but at least amicable. I do wonder though, why do the bad family members always expect years of abuse to wear away in an instant just because a heartfelt apology was given??? Selfish until the very end. Lol. They should put in YEARS worth of effort to wear away YEARS worth of pain and make amends. And even then, they should not expect things to be as they could have been. Great drama though. I enjoyed all of the actors. And I also liked that Fei Fei did not go crazy and try to kill FL like in most versions of this story. She knew the family was heartless and that getting rid of FL would not suddenly fix all her problems. And inevitably she tried to jump ship. 😂

I don’t know about her accepting her bio family members…. The abuse was too extreme ! I feel like she should forgive but not forget. They started apologizing ? But in all honesty apologies don’t heal the trauma she can forgive for her own sake but I don’t feel like she should have people in her life like that moving forward. Absolutely LOVE her bestie tho everyone needs a friend like that❤

I really hate stupid characters. The FL is basing his feelings about the 2FL on the information she knows from the future but she's not taking into account that she's now in the picture so the ML has options. I swear they be acting like they can't read between the lines. What actions did the ML show to confirm that he renewed his relationship with the 2FL? He told her she wasn't welcomed at the store and to leave and the stupid FL ignored that and listened to what the 2FL said. If the ML was back with the 2FL then she wouldn't need to ask you to let him go cause he would have left already. I swear, people don't think. The ML need to speak faster to get his point across instead of letting the FL interrupt and let her imagination run wild. The FL is stupid AF. You basically told him you wasn't coming home then you go home to see the person they wants to hurt him and you get upset. Actually believing what they said, then you go to sit down with that same person only to let them know that you know that they want to hurt the ML. Then you go back to the 2ML and let him know you heard everything, like tf. ATP, just walk around with a sign that says easy target cause that's what you are. No survival skills at all. This girl ain't even do no research on that man to see if his business was legit before she signed that contract. Anyone could tell that was a setup, plus he looked shady. It's hard to believe that the ML became the richest man, especially if he kept a woman like the FL by his side cause she's a broom star.

I'm only 8 min in but again after watching a few versions of these I am again struck by the thought ....why doesn't the FL ever set up a few cameras in the house, leave then broadcast them all online.
