I was lucky enough to know Jack. He told of how he loved to spend the night in his shanty and listen to rain fall on the bark roof.

What and where is the "William Bronk Foundation"?
@aprilsongstress
@aprilsongstress Ай бұрын
The William Bronk Foundation based out of Acton, MA does not appear to have a current online presence and potentially no longer exists. I work at the Folklife Center and we have a number of audio recordings of Bronk's poems made by the WBF in the late 1990s. These audio CDs are available for use at the Folklife Center.

A song that makes the world stop and re-assess the meaning of the choices we make as people and as governments. I cry every time I hear it. When will we all wake up and see what we are doing.

I was just listening to the avalanche album, never had listened to this kind of music before, loved literally every single song on the album. When I got to Be Thou though, I actually was brought to tears. I have only found one other instrumental band/ musician that can do that in my life. Im still crying listening for the second time. I am just a random nobody, but this is the absolute highest compliment I can give any musician ever. Thank you. You are all wonderful.

Wonderful to see this, but far, far too brief. I have a yellow-box Rodex-Gem Stereo Viewer that features slides of the Adirondacks that were published by Standard Supply. Seeing Ida Ainsworth Winter in this snippet, brings curiosity as to whether she was of Ainsworth Lodge, and the owners, with whom, my parents, (and me), with my father being a Herald Journal photographer, had a close relationship. For me ,the ice house, and the small creek that ran through are the most memorable. Please do expand on the histories if you are able to do so. Thank you.
