No cause then it’s always there in imagine having to wait to like 6500 or 7000 for real power and torque when in actuality it’s always there whenever u get in it so you’ll always have full power and torque no matter the gear your in rather than waiting for vtec but you’ll need a good setup

I often thought that as well. Just seems like a whole lotta hype. Why not just get an LS head with a big cam? I mean, I understand the flow is different and all with a VTEC head, but still. And don't locked VTEC wear out the VTEC lobes/rockers?

@@mr.smooth5707 the point of vtec is having the low end torque of a 16 valve, with a higher top end due to the bigger cam lobes engaging

@@jdm_eh9367 It is still a Vtec head and yes it wears slighty faster but if you wanna build the car just for racing having vtec locked gives better lower end torque which also helps spool the turbo faster. 90% of the honda's that are under 9 seconds have vtec locked

You can put ferrea rocker arms or obx rocker arms and thats the proper way
