Its not leather, its faux leather, hence the white stitching. Real leather is same colour stitching. Amazing how non of these so-called expert reviewers seem to know this. Sigh

What is it like for height, i test drove a TT and it didnt feel comfortable im 6"1 i didnt really get time to adjust the seats properly but just felt awkward and ive been looking at these which i really like it

Hi Luke! The driver seats in the TT and the RCZ have height adjustment to raise and lower the seat as required. At 6ft 1" also, I had no issue with head room with the seat position being lowered.

With so many XV's sold around the world, parts are quite cheap. As long as the service intervals have been maintained, maintenance costs and reliability should be fine. Subaru just like Toyota will provide many years of great reliability and low maintenance driving. Pro Tip: - Ensure you have a licenced mechanic look over your XV before purchase for piece of mind.

As we said to Rohan Cornelio (below comment), the RCZ is definitely worth your consideration with an engine that is great on fuel, has a solid gear box, a firm chassis and let’s face it, the French have an eye for detail. Check the service records thoroughly to ensure it has been well maintained and if you can, do a back to back comparison with another RCZ to understand any reliability issues. Other than that, best of luck and let us know the outcome.

One of only two Zagato car designs I'm a fan of. Great review, this guy has a natural charisma. It's an interesting fact about the rear and lights were to look like a cobra, however it doesn't really make sense to me as surely a cobra is more intimidating coming towards than away. I'm sure i was unintentional but the roof stitching that's a little 'over the top'. Good one!

+Simon Taylor - Hi Simon, yes the Fiesta ST is heavily sprung but being previously tuned on UK roads; you should be more than fine. Just keep an eye out for those nasty potholes and never ending speed bumps. Let us know what you decide. Oh and Happy 50th!

Are these cars reliable? I am 19 and looking to a buy a used one, it's a 2011 Peugeot RCZ thats done 141k (maintained really well) , . My other option is to go for a 2009 Passat CC Its done around 128,000 kms and it's a 2010. I am worried I wont be able to keep up with the maintenance costs . Which car do you guys think would be the most reliable ?

Hi Rohan, thanks for your question. The best advice we can offer is to check the service records for services completed and where. You could contact the service department and ask for maintenance history/advice on that particular RCZ/Passat CC and what ongoing maintenance costs might be and when. Both vehicles in that age range and kms should be reliable. Try and drive another RCZ/Passat CC if possible so you have a vehicle to compare against. Best of luck and please let us know the outcome.

I’m obviously 3 years late with this answer, but perhaps future readers will benefit. I own an RCZ, and i admit it’s not a cheap car to own. I’ve had several things break down, and the tires are seriously expensive. Having said that, I don’t regret buying it. The amount of attention this car gets is onlike anything i’ve owned before. I get people coming up to me all the time, asking me about the car. Got my young nephews begging to drive them around in ‘the sports car’. It’s as close to owning an exotic as you can get on a budget.

Hi Emilio, yes some Subaru XV's have experienced oil consumption issues. If you are purchasing a used XV, check the maintenance logs as Subaru may have replaced the piston rings under warranty. Best of luck.

This is less a review and more a biased advertisement that was sponsored by Subaru. This gave me no more new information that was already easily attainable elsewhere. Was hoping for more detailed technical info on Subaru's engineering technology that was designed into the components, and less of the sales pitch. Need more information about ownership experience, service intervals, range and options list, competitors (more than just cx-5) and comparison, carrying capacity, weight, real-world fuel usage, etc. Also, more criticism is required of Subaru XV's bad points like the inability to disable stop/start permanently without your choice being reversed by switching off the key, that stupid temporary spare tyre, lack of direct injection, weak low-down torque etc. You gave plenty of gratuitous images, but no compelling reason to consider the XV over its competition. More objectivity will give you more credibility. I wasted my time watching this.
