Fix the stem directions in the battery, dude; they're killing me! Also, add dynamics (maybe you added them later since this is not the final version, I'm not sure 😆).
@marcushawkinsmusic28 күн бұрын
@@Nathan_Amador_Music definitely wasn’t the final version. I normally have one score for sound and another score that looks good
@Nathan_Amador_Music28 күн бұрын
@@marcushawkinsmusic Do you create a separate Finale project for each? Or do you use Logic for the sounds like in your video? Also, have you tried any other music notation software like Dorico or MuseScore? I personally don’t prefer Finale to any of the others previously mentioned. It is so very frustrating to use at times, you can’t get it to do what you want it to do half the time; you’re better off using Sibelius and its endless dialogue boxes, lol.
@marcushawkinsmusic28 күн бұрын
@@Nathan_Amador_Music I use the save as function when I’m ready to export stems then after the mockup I come back to do a clean, readable score . I’m planning on going to dorico. I’ve been using finale since 1999

Best learning video for drumming lesson! I’m trying to cram as much as possible as a beginner drummer/professional pianist. It is always too fast for me to figure out how to play and read as the notes are slightly different than piano sheet. This is really helpful! Thank you!

@marcushawkinsmusicАй бұрын
@@madavis60 these are flam accents with stuff on top. If I put a diddle on the flam it’s a cheese. A diddle after the flam is a drag. A diddle on both is a flam five

Marcus, I love what you're doing. I'm new to regimental drumming and I'm struggling with the rhythms. I'm reading the score and it shows the 5 note groups aa 1/8 notes, eg. 5 notes spread over 2 beats, but to my ear, it seems you are playing them over one beat. Am I missing something? Is this a kind of short hand notation for line drumming?
