This music, inextricably tied to the painting, evokes for me the story of souls who are brought "alive" to this island to be judged. I imagine their solemn arrival after a difficult boat crossing and their walk through the corridors behind the doors that lead to a temple located beyond the visible part of the island. These corridors are made of stone, as if they were natural, like the mountains, while the temple has stone columns but neither walls nor a ceiling and, like the rest of the island, is bathed in intense sunlight. The only thing not illuminated is the trees, where thoughtful souls can stop to reflect before being judged. On the altar, under the full sunlight, the judgment will take place; if we think about it, death is the only thing that does not hide, and we all know it will come.

Did you know that this was the favorite painting of a certain Austrian painter?

Upon the isle where silence dwells, In shadows deep, a haunting tells. The soul's retreat in twilight's fold, A tale of sorrow, deep and bold. Magnificent waves, in whispers speak, Of dreams now lost, of hearts grown weak. Each note a breath, the spirit weaves, A tapestry of hope that grieves. In beauty's grasp, the past resides, Amazing echoes where sorrow hides. Rachmaninoff's mournful, tender plea, An isle of rest, where souls are free. Though shadows reign and daylight fades, A tranquil peace in twilight wades. Eternal whispers call us near, To the isle of the dead, where love draws near.

This song is sad Anxious And it shows us that side of perspective That helps when the opposite is true We are too happy to focus or consider our actions... Let the weight of death show you the way

I haven't got enough teeth to enjoy the fruit and nut mix that I bought. So I save it for visits or open the window and throw it to the birds. Recently, I have neglected to crush the nuts first, like I just don't care.

No! Luke the tuffty headed one has returned for some inconsequence but the crowd want him to throw a dart and make darts live. He has left his set at home. No matter. He can make the motion and we can dream.

Advert. You have to admire the flames amidst the screams. Is this the end of darts?

Jesus Christ. He was close with that dart but sadly. Luke tuffty headed kid has gone home. Let us bury the moment we hoped would give us faith in mankind. The casket is inexplicable and yet I row. From one fool to another. Mile after mile. Is there no end to this pile of shite I must row?

Cinematic open: A figure draped in white rows towards the island, the skies and waves are dark, this song plays. We see the figure land on the shore and make their way up the island to an old phonograph on a small wooden table. Music intensifies. The needle drop, music changes to David Bowie - Fame The figure starts dancing. This is their secret base

Currently writing a short story about this painting and the song. So, if you think about it, my story is the third installation in a multi-media chain of inspiration. Let that sink in.
